The newly redesigned 4213 from Sunflower is the answer for removing soil compaction while opening up the surface for

improved water intake and reduced erosion. This coulter chisel can completely fracture hardpans and soil compaction to

a depth of 12"-14" (305-356 mm) that a wider spaced shank arrangement would miss. With coulters spaced every 7-1/2"

(191 mm) and shanks on 15" (381 mm) centers, not much gets by this complete chisel.

Higher plant populations and genetically modified hybrids have contributed to a growing residue problem that you are

faced with. The key to breaking down residue is properly sizing and mixing it in the top few inches of soil. The new 4500

Series disc chisel from Sunflower is aggressive enough to handle even the toughest residue conditions. Hydraulically

adjustable front and rear disc gangs can be changed

independently of each other, enabling you to fine-tune your

machine from field to field. Chisel shanks are spaced on

15” (381 mm) centers and will reach a depth up to 12-14”

(305-356 mm), and are strategically placed for optimum

residue flow. The individually mounted front disc blades will

size and mix the residue, while the shanks will fracture the

compaction up to 12-14” (305-356 mm) deep and the rear

gangs will provide the finish you desire.

2433 chisel plow

When compaction is present, the best time for dealing with it is in the fall during your post harvest tillage operation. Breaking

up the hardpan and roughing up the surface will improve water and nutrient infiltration over the winter. The Model 2433

chisel plow from Sunflower will help you break up the hardpan, reduce compaction and rough up the surface while allowing

you to cover a large number of acres. With shanks spaced on 12” (305 mm) centers, the 2433 provides good soil mixing

and residue flow while shattering the compaction up to 10” (254 mm) deep.

7200 soil conditioner

When you’re pulling the Sunflower 7200 soil conditioner behind a primary tillage tool, you will notice improved

effectiveness of the host machine and smoother conditions after each pass. The 17” (432 mm) diameter Chevron reels

will break up clods, knock soil from the root crowns and will level up the surface left behind your primary tillage tool.

No one else offers the exclusive features found standard on the Sunflower 7200 soil conditioner. Wings that flex both

up and 10 degrees below level. Adjustable wing sections that allow the soil conditioner to be tailored to the width of

the host machine. Overlapping gangs to condition soil completely across the entire machine reducing any misses. And

you won’t find C-Flex mounted Chevron reels on the competition either. All of these features will make your secondary

tillage pass much smoother.
