HIRING and TRAINING PRACTICES The safety of Sky High Sports patrons and delivering outstanding customer service are top priorities. Here, we address how we train our employees in safety. Sky High takes floor supervision very seriously and requires potential employees to go through a rigorous, comprehensive screening and training process in safety rules and enforcement. During the initial interview process, potential employees are screened for characteristics including the ability to firmly enforce rules to a variety of patrons and personalities. Potential employees begin the training process by participating in a minimum threeday training and orientation program including classroom style education, case studies, video presentations, group discussion & role play. Over the course of these three (or more) days, potential hires will learn all of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to: no double bouncing; no out of control play on courts; no rough housing and additional behaviors and actions that might lead to unsafe play. Trainees learn how to anticipate rules infractions. Anticipating infractions allows for early intervention, preventing injury to this patron and/or nearby patrons. Proactive rules enforcement is a best practice to prevent injury. Trainees are taught how to properly enforce rules to a variety of patrons in varied circumstances. In addition, they are taught to properly correct and educate patrons so that they may continue to play safely. continued
