Get the most from your wand Use your Mind and the Wand together. The Wand is a tool, and like any tool the greater the skill of the user the better job it will do. In addition to the physical motions of the wand, we highly recommend you train your mind to work with the Wand through visualization techniques. By engaging the power of your mind, you will tap into your natural self-healing abilities and promote optimum physical, mental and spiritual well being.

Start by Cleansing your New Wand Cleanse your wand by running it under cool running water while imagining a beautiful water fall tumbling over your hands. This not only cleanses the wand, but also begins the process of using the wand and mind together. Cleanse your wand anytime you feel it may not be getting to places you require. It will re-focus you also.

Before you start Find a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted, turn off the TV!: Put on some soft mellow music, and drink a glass of water. Seat yourself comfortably, close your eyes, and do some SLOW deep breathing, after a few breaths sit quietly for another minute or so until you have settled. Now you are ready to begin Wanding –choose your technique from the list below.During or after wanding you may feel achy or have headaches… this is normal as your body is detoxifying.. Continue to drink water.

Selection of Wand Techniques For maximum benefit we recommend opening the Chakras as a starting routine.

If you are unfamiliar with Chakra points please check our web-site’s resources section for a chakra chart. Start by rotating the wand clockwise for 30 seconds over each chakra. N.B. What is Clockwise? If you are pointing the wand at your own forehead (Third Eye) it should “look like it is going counter clockwise“ don’t worry everyone gets this confused!

Begin with the Crown Chakra and work your way down to the Root chakra. This process causes the chakras to open up and allows the Pranic, life force energy to flow more freely in the body. Because energy healing involves more than simply working on the specific point of pain this is an essential first step. Finally, Wand each toe and finger; flicking each one with the tip of the wand to open the energy channels. This also allows negative energy to flow out of your body, an essential part of energy healing.

Now go to the specific location of pain and adopt one of these techniques:

1. Clockwise Spiraling Motion with a Dot Rotate the wand in a clockwise spiraling motion 2-3 inches away from your body 3 times and then rest it on your skin as though dotting an ‘i’. You may increase this in multiples of 3, and continue for 5-20 minutes depending on the severity of the problem. This method helps to break up congestion and swelling.

2. Infinity – ‘The Power Move’ This is a nice continuous flowing movement with the wand coming close to the skin surface. Draw an invisible infinity symbol ∞ with the wand. It creates an energy wave which penetrates deep into the body.

3. Rolling This technique can be used on the soles of your feet or the palms of hands. Holding the wand vertical to the skin you simply roll the wand between your fingers pushing down lightly on the various acupressure points: Recommended for deep tissue or organ difficulties.

4. Scooping (advanced technique) Visualize your wand as a scooper (ice cream works) that can scoop the pain out of your body. Dip the wand using an in-out motion at about three inches above the affected area, letting your intuition guide your hand movement. Continue this method for 5-10 minutes. This is a more advanced technique and requires a moderately developed visualization.. This technique is also effective for emotional issues.

5. Visualization (advanced technique) This is a simple yet highly effective combination of several of the above techniques. Begin with the deep breathing exercises above, and as you breathe in imagine a golden light (the sun?) or a flow of pure water (a waterfall?) flowing into your body through the top or your head. Guide, (visualize), this flow to the area of your body you are trying to heal, done in conjunction with the breath is easiest. It may take several sessions to perfect this but do it regularly and it will become easier each time. Now the key is, once you have that flow going to the point of treatment, imagine that flow carrying the pain out of the area and out of your body, through a foot, elbow knee or hand. Some people imagine the pain as a black gunk leaving the body. Combine this with the wanding technique of your choice.

6. Pairs are important It is recommended that if you have two of any body part i.e. hands, feet, ankles etc.; that you wand both, even if one side has no pain. This helps your body balance and also pain may appear in one location but its source may originate in the complimentary location of the body.

7. Chronic Conditions If you have a chronic condition, it will take longer to heal. Repeated wanding may be necessary over weeks. It pays to stay consistent and regular in your wanding practice.

Some conditions will react to wanding by becoming MORE painful before they improve. In these situations we recommend caution and a reduction in the frequency of wanding. Do Not attempt to “push through the pain”, as it may become severe. Take your time. In all likelihood this will occur in situations which are chronic, or connected to emotional issues, or it may be that the location of pain is a symptom of an energy blockage in an unrelated part of the body. Consequently try wanding in areas of the body above or below the specific pain location, and or do more Chakra work.
