Sample itinerary :

Day 01 _______ / KUCHING (No meal) Upon your arrival at Kuching International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and thereafter proceed on a sightseeing tour around the city which is well preserved with many fine examples of colonial-style architecture as well as ornate Chinese Temples. Places of interest include The Astana – An imposing palace on the north bank across the river from the Waterfront which was built in 1870 by Charles Brooke, the second “White Rajah” of Sarawak and is now the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak; Sarawak Museum – the oldest museum in Borneo that houses a comprehensive collection and specimens on the natural history of Sarawak, as well as archaeological artefacts and ethnographic examples of various indigenous people; the famous Cat Museum – the first museum of its kind in the world that is devoted to all things feline; as well as famous landmarks such as the Cat Monument, Main Bazaar, Chinatown, Old State Mosque, etc… Evening is free at leisure for you to explore the city.

Day 02 KUCHING / LUBOK ANTU (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) After breakfast, journey approximately 275 kilometres East of Kuching City to the deeper interior of Batang Ai, passing through quaint little towns and scenic countryside roads dotted with vegetable farms, paddy fields, pepper and oil palm plantations that interspersed with secondary and virgin jungle. Along the way, take a short break at Serian - a tiny Bidayuh town with a bustling daily wet market that is famous for its rare jungle produce, mostly grown in the wild and brought by the native from the deep jungle to sell to the town folks; as we as Lachau – a small Chinese Village where old-style bartering still takes place between the natives and the local shop owners. Upon arriving at Batang Ai Lake Jetty, enjoy a 20-minutes motorised launch ride to Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort which is set on the edge of the spectacular rainforest. Rest of the day is free at leisure for you to enjoy the resort’s recreational activities.

Day 03 LUBOK ANTU / KUCHING (Breakfast, Lunch) After breakfast, cruise through fast flowing shallow rapids and cool thick overhanging jungle foliage in a native longboat to explore the upper reaches of Batang Lemanak, home to over 40 Iban longhouses. Longhouse is a long and narrow single-verandah building that is raised on stilts off the ground and divided into one long open communal area with a row of private living quarters at the back of the structure. Visit one of the longhouses and let the Iban tribal hospitality welcomes you with a colourful traditional dance while “Tuak”, a home-brewed rice wine is served. Enjoy blowpipe demonstrations and perhaps take the opportunity to polish your skill using the deadly weapon; watch an Iban favourite pastime “cock-fighting” game; or mingle with the longhouse folks and join them in their daily chores such as making baskets and mats, mending fishing nets as well as feeding livestock. After lunch, embark on your return journey back

to Kuching with a brief stop at a Sarawak Pottery Factory where you will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work by the skilful artists here. Take the opportunity to bring home an array of unique and colourful Sarawak ceramic crafts as a souvenir or gifts for family and friends.

Day 04 KUCHING / _______ (Breakfast) After breakfast, free at leisure for your own activities until it is time for your transfer back to the airport for your onwards journey.
