Main Applications

JN22-40.5/31.5 Indoor High Voltage Earthing Switch (hereinafter referred to as "earthing switch") is an advanced product of high technical data under joint research and development of our company in cooperation with Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute. After complete approval, its performance conforms to the national standard GB1985-2004 high voltage AC disconnectors and earthing switches and each technical requirement specified by IEC62271-102:2002, suitable for power system of three phase, rated voltage 40.5kV and AC 50Hz.

Service Environmental Conditions

1. Sea level up to 1000m;2. Ambient temperature: up to +40 , above -103. Earthquake intensity up to 8 Richter scale;4. Mounted in places free of fire disaster, explosion hazard, heavy dust, chemical corrosive or excessive vibration.

Operation instructions for gear operating mechanism

1. BR-40.5 conical gear mechanism is together used with JN22-40.5/31.5 indoor high voltage earthing switch as manual operation, compatible with KYN61-40.5 and other types of high voltage switchgear panels. 2. The rotating angle of operating shaft is 270 :90 (OFF-ON).3. The operating mechanism as shown is under OFF. It can be I, II, III or IV type as per mounting method of earthing method.4. The V-shaped hole of rocker of the mechanism is for mounting main shaft of earthing switch. When fixing the mechanism with the switchgear enclosure, pay attention to following points:a. When operating the rotating shaft, small bevel gear shall be engaged on the third or fourth position of large bevel gear. Otherwise, it may not meet the rotating angle requirement. b. If the rectangular core connecting rod provided with the mechanism and connecting sleeve provided by the user are suited with drill 2- 8 pinhole, the enclosure front operating handle shall be at the best position, of great advantage to the operation. c. It is suggested to choose single-rod operating handle, with relatively desirable operating force.

Based on the original design of 5XS.363.010 earthing switch operating mechanism, interlock device is added with inverse interlock of back door. Finally close the door (closing plate), then operate earthing switch.

The interlock device is modified with No. 24 lock sleeve into the one as shown in right figure and added with spring. When the back door (closing plate) is open and the lock sleeve goes into the square hole of the cabinet (recommended size 35X35), the earthing switch fails to operate.

It is employed with two-way (whole gear) conical gear operating, which realizes the interlock of back door (closing plate).

It has two forms of interlock: A. 5XS.577.1002 is one-way interlock, the back door (closing plate) can be opened after making of earthing switch. After the back door (closing plate) s open, the switch remains to be operated. Same interlock function with 5XS.360.010. B. 5XS.577.1002.1 is two-way interlock, the back door (closing plate) can be opened after making of earthing switch. After the back door (closing plate) is open, the earthing switch cannot be operated. Same interlock function with 5XS.360.010.1.

When the lower door is not closed, the mechanism enables the earthing switch to break and the handcart

fails to enter working position.

The operation order shall be like this: firstly close the lower door, then break the switch and the handcart

can enter working position from testing position.

Application

Physical and mounting dimensions

Note: 650 width chassis 4 mounting holes may be 13X30 slim hole.

Only when the handcart is under testing/isolating or working position, the circuit breaker can make. After that, the handcart is under locked state, which avoids false connecting or making of the spacing contact.

When the handcart is under working position or away from testing/isolating position for 10mm, the earthing switch fails to make, avoided powered false making of the switch.

When the earthing switch makes, the handcart shall not shift from testing/isolating to working position, avoiding the switch closing the circuit breaker in making.

When the chassis enters cabinet, once away from testing/isolating position, the handcart fails to draw out from the cabinet.
