Beneiciary

Proceeds will help sustain the Young Texas Artists Music Competition (YTA)

as a brilliant cultural jewel for Montgomery County and provide professional

development and performance opportunities so critical to the progress

and emerging careers of deserving young musicians.

An official music contest of the State of Texas, YTA is a multi-disciplinary

college and pre-professional program open to classical artists, ages 18-30, who

are Texas residents or enrolled in a Texas music school. The four performance

divisions are: Voice; Piano; Strings; and Winds, Brass, Percussion, Harp and Guitar.

At the finals each March, entrants compete for cash prizes, performance

and professional development opportunities.

Judges are distinguished artists from such venerable institutions as

The Metropolitan Opera, Manhattan School of Music, Lyric Opera of Chicago,

Round Top Music Festival, and The Juilliard School.

Over the years, YTA has helped produce scores of distinguished professionals

who have joined major companies, performing nationally and internationally.

Young Texas Artists, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
