“3 DAYS CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP”  

IBA TALENT HUNT PROGRAM STUDENTS OF BATCH 2017 January 13th– 19th, 2018 Youth Development Centre (YDC), Punjab House, Murree (Punjab) 

 IBA Karachi has always played an active  role  in  the upbringing and nourishment of  its  students.  In particular,  this  institution  catered  to  the needs of  Talent Hunt Program (THP)  students  in  the past years, and will continue to do so. For example, a tour of the Youth Development Center conducted by IBA Karachi in collaboration with YDC, PEEF, Ihsan trust and OGDCL Pakistan, for THP students Batch 2017. The tour was scheduled for January 13, 2018, to January 19, 2018. 

We started off late on 13th January from Karachi railways station on the Greenline Express train. After an enervating  journey, we  reached Rawalpindi  at 7 pm on  January 14, 2018.  From  there, we were escorted to Murree by the staff of Youth Development Center (YDC). We reached Murree at about 10 pm. Thereafter, we were guided to our lodgings in the Punjab House where an official resident of the CM Punjab House welcomed us. The students woke up in cold weather of Murree, and after having completed their morning breakfast, they were introduced to the YDC staff. The students were officially and cordially greeted by Mr. Saad Qudoos the vice administrator at YDC. Later on, the first session started in which they were taught by Ms. Sadaf Munir about leadership skills and what one has to have in herself to be a leader.   Afterwards,  the  students  walked  till  Pindi  point,  while  we  all  surveyed  the  natural  scenery  that surrounded us, and took photos. Everyone was enjoying the weather. Students also ate  ice‐cream. 

Afterwards, the students went back to YDC to have a filling lunch to be followed by another lecture on the reasons of the failure management.   The next day started off with a long walk on the winding road across the hills of Murree. While the morning air itself was quite delightful, still the breakfast back at YDC was no less in charming us. The lunch was followed by a bus tour across Murree to the wonderful scene of Kashmir point. The trip ended at Wildlife Park, which  the students and teachers alike enjoyed. The students came back  to enjoy a warm meal. Thereafter, they had a lecture by Dr. Amir Jaffri on communication skills. At night then,  the  students  had  another  session  with  Dr.   Izhar‐ul‐haq,  the  founding  trustee  of  Akhuwat Foundation, before turning in for the day.
