# For sex and age, final results used from Newspoll survey conducted August 17-19, 2010Question: If a federal election for the House of Representatives was held today, which one of thefollowing would you vote for? If uncommitted, to which one of these do you have a leaning?
These surveys were conducted on the telephone by trained interviewers among voters in allstates of Australia and in both city and country areas. Telephone numbers and the person within
the household were selected at random. The data has been weighted to reflect the populationdistribution. This latest survey is based on a reanalysis of surveys conducted over April-June2013 and is based on a total of 6804 interviews among voters. Individual state sample basesrange from 822 to 1994 voters. Note: sample size in Tasmania is too small for a meaningfulseparate analysis, however Tasmania is included in total figures. Northern Territory is excluded.Sampling error ranges from plus or minus 1.2 percentage points on the total sample to plus orminus 3.5 percentage points for the state with the smallest sample size.
