Tidy Classroom Award
Congratulations to Oak Class who
won the Tidy Classroom Award last
Staff News From next term, the Catering Team, led by Mrs Rob-inson, will be made up of Mrs Randell, Miss Terry and Mrs L Marshall. We welcome Miss Terry back to Longleaze as she worked as a Teaching Assistant a few years ago. Although she will still be with us next term, we will be saying ‘Goodbye’ to Miss Holden in July, as she will be leaving Longleaze then. She has made a huge contribution to Longleaze children in the short time that she has been here, and we thank her. We wish her success as she re-locates with her partner. The Governors are advertising for a replacement teacher and will keep you informed once an appointment is made. In September, Miss L James will be going back into the classroom full-time, so a new SENDCo will be appointed. Again, you will be informed once the new appointment is made.

Longleaze School Association (LSA) News
A big thank you to all the people that helped with the cake sale and raffle last week. To the army of bakers, for the raffle prizes, for helping to set up and sell a whole lot of cakes and raffle tickets. And of course to all the parents for putting up with hyper kids pumped up on sugar and spice and all things chocolatey. We made £43 on the raffle and £192.70 on the cakes, £235.70 in total, which is not bad at all! Thank you.
The LSA is Longleaze
School’s PTA.

Values Based Education
As you know, with you, the children, staff and Governors, our school is developing a core set of Values
which will underpin everything it does. The Values that we have chosen to develop are:
Freedom, Respect, Peace, Co-operation, Patience, Honesty, Fairness, Kindness, Aspiration, Tolerance,
Courage and Hope.
Next term the Value we will be focusing on is Patience. Although we will be taking opportunities to
praise and reward children for being patient at school, we would like to find out how they are demon-
strating this Value at home, over the Easter holiday.
Please take the time to share any occasions when your child has shown the value of patience by filling
out a “Values at Home” certificate. These will be coming home with your child on Thursday 24th March.
Please return the completed certificates to school after the Easter holiday.
Thank you
A very successful first Parent/Carer Forum was held last week. The minutes and Constitution, once agreed by the Forum, will be available on the website under the Parents/Carers tab. In the meantime, we spoke a lot about communication with parents and carers, and you should see some changes in the coming weeks. We hope that these will make a positive difference – please let us (or your class reps) know! Your representatives are: Acorn - Linda Brewster Oak - Kelly Pinnegar Lime - Vacancy Chestnut - Davina Hatton Ash - Jo Randell Elm - Emma Hunter Rowan - Emma Smith Beech - Helen Pike Silver Birch - Sonya Anderson-Davies If you are interested in the Lime Class vacancy, please let Mrs Radford in the School Office know. Thank you. The next meetings will take place on: Thursday 21st April at 9am
