Ur ban Luzon compris es 77% of th e to ta l urban TV house hold population in the country while Mega Manila accounts for 55%.  The GMA primetime newscast landed on the number one spot overall for two consecutive days in Mega Manila with people ratings of 12.8% and 13.4% on October 25 and 26, respectively. Its counterpart news program, TV Patrol, was only on the 8th spot last October 25 with a rating of 10% and was 6th on October 26 with a rating of 11.1%. In Urban Luzon, 24 ORAS placed 4 th overall and posted a people rating of 11.6% last October 25 and moved up to the 2 nd spot with a rating of 12.4% on October 26, ahead of TV Patrol which placed 5 th with 11.4% on October 25 and 4 th with 12.1% on October 26.  TV-5’s newly launched and much hyped show, Willing Willie, which is pit ted again st GMA’s and ABS pr imeti me newsc ast s, on the ot her hand, was a far 16 th placer in Mega Manila last October 25 with a rating of 6.5% and was 14 th on October 26 with a rating of 8.1%. Willing Willie likewise lagged behind in Urban Luzon where it only placed 17 th overall with a rating of 6.3% on October 25 and 7.4% on October 26. Over the past weekend, GMA Network’s primetime shows likewise led the overall top programs list in Mega Manila. Primetime Public Affairs shows Ka pu so Mo Jessica Soho and Imbestigador were the top 2 pro gr ams over all last Sat ur day, Oct ober 23, wi th ide nti cal people ratings of 12%. ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym was 3 rd , followed by TV-5’s Laugh Or Lose and Talentadong Pinoy at 4 th and 5 th place, respectively. TV-5’s Willing Willie, which was launched last Saturday managed to only place 8 th overall. The longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, which airs on a timeslot with lower viewing levels than primetime even outranked Willing Willie in Mega Manila as it placed 7 th overall with a rating of 9.8%.

24 ORAS tops all programs in Mega Manila, leads rivals inUrban Luzon

GMA Network’s banner newscast 24 ORAS topped all programs inviewer-rich Mega Manila and led all rival programs in Urban Luzon lastOctober 25 to 26, according to overnight TV ratings data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Urban Luzon comprises 77% of the total urban TV householdpopulation in the country while Mega Manila accounts for 55%.

 The GMA primetime newscast landed on the number one spot overallfor two consecutive days in Mega Manila with people ratings of 12.8%and 13.4% on October 25 and 26, respectively. Willing Willielikewise lagged behind in Urban Luzon where it only placed 17th overallwith a rating of 6.3% on October 25 and 7.4% on October 26.

Last Sunday, October 24, GMA’s original and first reality sitcom, PepitoManaloto, beat all programs in Mega Manila and was number oneoverall with a people rating of 11.4%.

24 ORAS, along with the other top-rating programs of GMA Network,can be seen on GMA Pinoy TV, the network’s flagship internationalchannel. (30)
