The Japan Media Arts Festival is a comprehensive festival of Media Arts Japanese: Media Geijutsuthat honors outstanding works in the four divisions of Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga, as well as providing a platform for appreciation of the Award-winning Works. For the 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival, we received a number of 4,384 works from a record 102 countries and regions. After a rigorous review by the jury, each division selected winners of the prizes Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and New Face Award. Also, the winners of the Special Achievement Award which commends those who have made exceptional contributions to the field of Media Arts were decided as well. The Exhibition of Award-winning Works will be held from June 1 to 16, 2019, at Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation) in Odaiba area (Tokyo) and other locations. The 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival’s Award-winning Works and Special Achievement Awards have been chosen.The Japan Media Arts Festival is a comprehensive festival of Media Arts (Japanese: Media Geijutsu) that honors outstanding works in the four divisions of Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga, as well as providing a platform for appreciation of the Award-winning Works.For the 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival, we received a number of 4,384 works from a record 102 countries and regions.
