Chapter 23

Religions have ruled our planet for many centuries throughout human history and we are no closer to the end of war at all, with the US involved in conflicts in 134 nations alone. In all of these nations there is a predominate religion and on the planet as a whole there are three major religions that rule the roost. The funny part with these three major religions is they all claim to love and respect "God" more but all hate each other. These situations, of course, all stem from the same basic problem man has been fighting over from the beginning, what must we do to "get" "God's" favor in our lives, so as to be included on his "approved good guy" list, so nobody becomes like the native Americans that were murdered because they were not Christians, but rather deemed heathens by the Supreme Court and not worthy to posses or manage land/property. Of course when a tribe won it was called a massacre whereas when the cavalry won it was a called a victory. The same can be seen in the middle east today and it's not fun being on the un-approved list of heathens because as it was the battle cry of the North, 'Onward Christians Soldiers marching on to war', still rings today like it did then when the North fought the South, in the US, which was their rallying song to keep the soldiers killing their brethren just over the Mason-Dixon line because of the agenda of slavery by the evil "heathen" Christians in the South. So based on this and much more, religions have created more wars on earth that can be counted and has nothing to bring peace on earth or goodwill to men.On the other hand though the Golden Rule has a perfect track record of harmony regardless of anyone's religion or belief system and works perfectly with what everyone has been taught by the famous saying, "Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me". In order to execute that simple but very effective saying all it takes is somebody to simply apply the Golden Rule in their own life and then, "Let there be peace on earth and let it being with me", is put into action one person at a time. So with the miserable failure of religion to bring peace on earth and goodwill to men, maybe it is time to consider implementing the Golden Rule instead and make the switch to the greatest single rule written in the heart of everybody born on earth, because it always works and simply never fails.
