Objectives:

Ø Tosupporttheoperationoftheatreswhichareexploitingarthousemoviesatleast50%fromtheiryearlyprogrammewiththerequestofatleast½ofthemtobeEuropeantitlesincludingnationalones.

§ topromotetheartoffilm,culturaldiversitymainlythroughtheproductionwithlowexploitationcapacity;§ topromotethefilmsdistributedbytheindependentdistributors;§ topromoteEuropeanarthousefilms;§ topromotethefairexploitationoffilmsinthesinglescreentheatres;§ topromoteandsupporttheexploitationofRomanianandRomanianminoritycoproductionfilms;§ toguaranteeaudience’saccesstothecinemaworks

SupportforArthouseCinemas

Eligibility:

• Entities legally established in Romania and perform their activity inside the country;• Share capital of minimum 10.000 lei;• Make the proof of the legal authorisation to put in exploitation the works;• Are legally classified theatre by CNC and with fully authorised to work under the Romanian laws;• Minimum 50 seats;• At least 8 months/year function as a public space for the film exhibition with paid ticket entrance;• 50% of their titles are arthouse films from which ½ European films including Romanians and 1% screened

in prime time;• Make the proof that they keep in exploitation at least 3 weeks the type of films mentioned.

Application:

• 2sessions/year• Eachtheatreappliesfor6monthsactivity• Applicationformfullyfilledwithallrequesteddocuments

• 30%atthetimeofsigningthecontract;• 55%attherequestofthebeneficiarytogetherwithapreliminaryactivityreport;• 15%attherequestofthebeneficiarytogetherwiththecostreportaccordingtotheactivityreport.
