JHS Barnes Trophy The Barnes Trophy judge for 2021 is Mr John Lyons

The winner will receive a trophy kindly donated by the Eastern Downs Branch of A.S.H.S

The Warwick Show and Rodeo Society, Campdraft Committee would like to thank the many volunteers that make this event possible.

Also, a big thank you to Bill and Cissy Bright, for the use of their paddock for competitor camping.

Thank you to our cattle donors, sponsors and judges.

The J H S Barnes Memorial Trophy was instigated

in 1973 by the late Mr Ceb Barnes of Canning

Downs, his late sister Mrs A G Bell and his late

niece Miss Pam Bell of ‘’Aroo”, Boonah. This

magnificent perpetual trophy and a memento will

be presented following the Warwick campdrafts

each year, to the most consistent working horse

over the four days of the campdrafts, to be judged

on ability and type. As the Campdraft is

traditionally an Australian event, Mr Barnes

wished to promote the use of Australian

bushman’s dress and saddlery in this event.

Therefore, Australian saddles must be used. All

horse breeds are eligible to compete for this

trophy.
