2021 SHARED LEARNING CAMPUS STUDY & SHARED LEARNING VET COURSES The One+ Campus comprises three schools; Gleeson College, Pedare Chrisan College and Golden Grove High School. We are commied to excellence in teaching and learning and we work creavely and collaboravely to expand learning opportunies. We have worked in partnership to grow student pathways and opportunies for success. This has been a strong feature of One+ for over 30 years serving more than 3000 students on our Campus. One+ is a unique collaboraon that enhances the learning opportunies for all students in our campus schools, enriched by innovaon and choice. Shared Learning – What is it? Students studying SACE (Year 11 and Year 12) have several opons to personalise their educaonal pathway: + Shared Learning VET - In line with the One+ principle of Shared Learning, students may study one or more of these courses. The course may include students from all three schools and may be hosted by a teacher or trainer from any of the schools. + Campus Study – At SACE Stage 1 or Stage 2 students may elect to study any one Campus subject. This means aending a subject hosted at one of the other schools on the One+ Campus. Students have the opon to make use of these enhanced subject opportunies in order to best fit a students desired pathway. This effecvely allows a wide range of subject choices and provides Flexibility in student metables. VET COURSES The One+ Campus comprises three schools; Gleeson College, Pedare Christian College and Golden Grove High School. Shared Learning – What is it?

Students studying SACE (Year 11 and Year 12) have

several options to personalise their educational

pathway:

+ Shared Learning VET - In line with the One+

principle of Shared Learning, students may study

one or more of these courses. The course may

include students from all three schools and

may be hosted by a teacher or trainer from any of

the schools.

+ Campus Study – At SACE Stage 1 or Stage 2

students may elect to study any one Campus

subject. This means attending a subject hosted at

one of the other schools on the One+ Campus.

Students have the option to make use of these

enhanced subject opportunities in order to best

fit a student’s desired pathway. This effectively

allows a wide range of subject choices and

provides Flexibility in student timetables.

Taking advantage of Choice, Opportunity,

Success The process for identifying interest and intent to

study Campus subjects or via Shared Learning VET is

as follows:

Shared Learning VET are inducted and supported in

their study outside their own school. Progress checks

VET Courses

D2C Cert I Construction CPC10111

Course Description

Learning includes working effectively and sustainably in the Construction Industry, planning, organising

and carrying out workplace communication, measurements and calculations, a basic construction project,

reading and interpreting plans, use of construction materials, tools and equipment, basic levelling and how

to work safely in the Construction Industry. It is an entry point to a career in trades and the construction

industry. 40 SACE Stage 1 credits.

Cost to students: $1550*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week plus any required work placements

Cert II Electronics UEE21911 & Cert II in Electrotechnology UEE22011

(dual certification)

Course Description

Students will complete competencies and foundation skills as well as safety in related to all electro

technology disciplines. The skills will include selection of materials, setting up and maintaining electronics

devices. These skills are relevant to a range of areas under the umbrella of electro technology including

air conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, data communications, security systems, computer systems,

electronics and engineering. 50 SACE Stage 2 credits.

Cost to students: nil if eligible for TGSS. Full fee $2850*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week plus any required work placements

Certificate II in Kitchen Operations SIT20416

Course Description

This course is designed for students interested developing an understanding in the nature, range and

structure of the Hospitality Industry, who enjoy practical work and like being involved in a diverse social

environment. Our Commercial Kitchen and Dining room enable students to gain industry experience in

an operational commercial setting. Students carry out all aspects of restaurant operations, particularly

focused on back-of-house and kitchen duties. 55 SACE Stage 1 credits.

Cost to students: Uniform $125*. Course - Nil if eligible for TGSS. Full fee $2300*

Time Commitment: A full day of training weekly over a semester plus any required work placements.

Cert III in Hospitality SIT30616

Course Description

Students will complete competencies and skills related to the Hospitality industry. This course includes

skills in working effectively with others, sourcing and using information on the hospitality industry,

customer service, cultural sensitivity and workplace safety. Training in hospitality courses will provide

you with the knowledge and skills to work within the industry, locally, nationally and internationally.

Students gain practical experience in the service of food and beverage in a range of service

environments and styles; including cafés, restaurants, hotels, clubs, functions and catering

operations. Our Commercial Kitchen and Dining room enable students to gain experience in a

simulated setting. Students carry out all aspects of restaurant operations, particularly focused on

front-of-house duties. Twenty (20) Credits can be used towards the ATAR calculation. 60 SACE Stage 2

credits.

Cost to students: $950* if eligible for TGSS funding. Full fee $3000*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week plus any required work placements

Cert III in Individual Support CHC33015

Course Description

This qualification is an entry to the healthcare industry. This industry is experiencing strong growth and will

continue to do so due to our aging population. The course is a pathway to employment in the healthcare

industry as a Direct Care Worker in residential or community aged care facilities. It is also a road to further

study in many areas including Enrolled Nursing, Registered Nursing, Leisure and Health studies. Twenty

(20) Credits can be used towards the ATAR calculation. 95 SACE Stage 2 credits.

Cost to students: Uniform $30* Course – If eligible for TGSS $650*. Full fee $2300*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week plus any required work placements

(120 hours)

Cert III in Sport and Recreation SIS30115

Course Description

This course is designed to give students the skills and knowledge required to work in the administrative

side of the Sports and Recreation industry. This role is an introduction into the types of roles that keep

Sport organisations and recreational facilities running. It covers a range of operational practices necessary

such as providing customer service, organising groups and activities, assisting in the delivery sports and

recreations sessions, maintenance of sport and recreation facilities and other related administrative duties.

Twenty (20) Credits can be used towards the ATAR calculation. 50 SACE Stage 2 Credits

Cost to students: nil if eligible for TGSS. Full fee $2300*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week.

Cert III in Micro Business Operations BSB30315 - VET Entrepreneur program

Course Description

This course is designed to give year 11 and 12 school students the skills required to measure business

viability. It covers a range of operational practices necessary to research a small business environment.

The course is designed for people intending to open their own small business in the near future.

This course offers pathways into the Certificate IV in Small Business Management (BSB40415). It may

also lead into diploma and advanced diploma level study and higher qualifications at university.

Twenty (20) Credits can be used towards the ATAR calculation. 50 SACE Stage 2 Credits

Cost to students: $1350*

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week.

Cert III in IT & Digital Media with Cyber security electives ICT30118

Course Description

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range

of general Information and Communications Technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a

degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user. The course can be a starting point for a career in

IT and Cyber Security. People working at this level will support information technology activities in the

workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web

technologies, cyber security, software applications and digital media technologies. Twenty (20) Credits

can be used towards the ATAR calculation. 10 SACE Stage 1 & 80 SACE Stage 2 Credits

Cost to students: $850* if TGSS eligible. Full fee $3500 *

Time Commitment: Attend a full day of training each week.
