This 1967 Daytona (Chassis 11929) is prototype No.4 and the first to be built by Scagleitti. It was thee 365-4 which took the production sports car to a record 175 MPH in 1968 and was one of two Daytonas displayed at the 1968 Paris Salon on the Franco/Britanic stand. It appeared at the Turin and London car shows the same year. In 1969 it was given to Ferrari sports car team driver, Mazario and was converted from Coupe to Spider form by Scagleitti in 1970. It has been in the UK since March 2020 and is up for auction with Historics on Saturday 18 July 2020 at their Windsor Lakes venue.

Registered on 18th December 1931, this TJ series 12/50 was initially fitted with a Carbodies Saloon body. In 1959 the body was removed and the chassis shortened by 11 and then fitted with a rather rudimentary body. It was then used for road use and VSCC Sprints and Hillclimbs.

In 1989 this car was subjected to a complete mechanical restoration which included a fresh engine by a VSCC member. An attractive newly constructed high quality pointed tail special body by Panelcraft was commissioned in aluminium over a steel frame, as seen today. The burgundy body and paintwork is of the highest quality, along with a set of no-expense spared and very elegant black wings. At this point the car was not quite finished, let alone used.

This Lotus Turbo Esprit is a 1985 model year car and was specified with every factory option available in that year including the unique all over white paint finish and the lift out tinted, glass roof panel. The 1998 Detroit Auto show concept, showcasing what the Aston Martin of the 21st Century will look, feel and sound like. Built as an engineering and design study, it features the first 6 litre V12, an aluminium and kevlar honeycomb chassis, carbon fibre roof, semi automatic transmission and Ian Callum&#039;s take on a more aggressive and bespoke car than his DB7. It was shown in the UA at Pebble Beach and Amelia Island before being shipped off to Lotus to productions it into what became the 2001 Vanquish. The prototype is completely bespoke, smaller all rounded with the only interchangeable part with a Vanquish being the bonnet badge.<br />I bought it direct from Aston Martin in a very sorry state, with signs all over it saying do not attach a battery and do not attempt to start. A year long restoration ensued, with the first drive taking place at Goodwood for a Classic and Sportscar article (sept 2017 issue). It was invited to the 2017 Hampton Court concours, the 2018 AMOC spring concours, the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed and the 2019 Quail in Monterey.<br />It is an important part of Aston Martin history, signalling the high tech 21st Century era and is the genesis of all Aston Martin since its unveiling.</p>"

The restoration took place between 2014 and 2017, and the results need to be seen first-hand to be fully appreciated. The car is finished in a lustrous shade of Dark Blue and finished in a contrasting beige leather trim. It rides on immaculate chrome wire wheels and it specification includes a sunroof.

The indicated total mileage is a low but credible 40,107, and this lovely example of a much-loved motor car is complete with Heritage Certificate, and a voluminous and comprehensive history file containing a letter and signed photo, from the actor, Mr Tony Osoba (the wonderful sitcom Porridge etc.), and MOTs dating all the way back to 1975. This is the ONLY RHD Verde Mexico Gransport ever made. It is a Limited Edition and the interior is cream leather with black piping. I bought it new in June 2007 and it has only covered 34,000 miles. Its sheer good looks and wonderful colour combination, along with its handling and performance, still give me huge pleasure to both drive and to look at every day after 13 years of ownership. I came across a photograph of it in flckr.com the other day with the comment ;This is the most beautiful Maserati i have ever seen; I think this fairly sums up this stunning and virtually unique car.

The 19th last built and one of 529 fitted with the five speed manual gearbox, out of a production run of 1,578 coupes, and powered by a supercharged 3.2 litre, straight six, twin overhead camshaft engine producing 335bhp/368lb.ft, the DB7 is regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Finished in Orkney Grey with Pacific Blue leather interior, it was completed at Aston Martins Bloxham factory in April 1999, the month after production of the restyled, somewhat less elegant, V12 cylinder DB7 Vantage, which superseded the DB7, had commenced.

Unveiled at the 1964 Earls Court Motor Show as the successor to the Reliant Sabre 6.Deliveries began in 1965 with 297 examples made using the straight-six Ford Zodiac MkIII engine. A switch was made in October 1966 to the new Ford Essex V6 engine, when a further 711 cars were produced. Manufacture of the GT ceased in 1970The body was inspired by a 1962 design by David Ogle, shortly before his tragic death. Two examples using Daimler SP250 mechanicals were commissioned by Boris Forter (then MD of Helena Rubenstein, the cosmetics company) with small styling changes made by Carl Olson under the direction of Tom Karen. The concept was offered to Jaguar-Daimler, who declined, allowing Reliant to very willingly adopt it.This particular car is build number 129, bought by the present owner in September 1995 as a partially finished rolling refurbishment. Since then it has had the following attention:

a complete body-off chassis restoration in 1996;

fitted with unique 5½ J Minilite wheels, made by Compomotive, in 2000;

engine rebuilt to modern tolerances, including unleaded conversion, in 2002;

a back-to-gelcoat repaint by “Option 1 at Bromsgrove in 2008.

Classic Cars believe there are just four surviving straight-six SE4s still on the road today.

Looks can be deceiving with Bertie;, my 1966 MGB. Hiding under the mostly standard body is a 3.5 litre Rover V8 with hand made wide wire wheels and completely modified suspension. I have had him for 5 years now, and undertook a bare metal restoration in 2018/2019. Since the restoration I ve done 5000 (mostly problem free) miles all around the country, and look forward to some planned European touring in 2021.

This is one of the original ali-bodied XKs. exported to Belgium. I bought it in 1965. I began racing it in the thoroughbred sports car series organised by the AMOC in the 1970s and later, with considerable success in the XK series in the early 2000s. The bodywork is still original, but mechanically it is extensively modified with 300bhp engine by Sigma and all the other period mods allowed by the XK regulations. A racer for the road.

I bought the car in 1977 and used it as my daily driver for three years . During the eighties it had special occasion use then stored for many years as family life moved on. I did gradual refurbishments then a big effort to bring back my seventies memories;. It is now used in my retirement more than ever including continental trips and recent Scottish tour. It seems much appreciated these days by passers by who know about the era of Marcello Gandini at Bertone and hear the small four cam vee eight.

When we first saw the Mustang, she looked rather forlorn, lurking in the back of a barn with a blown up engine. Rob had a 289 engine that his father had given him many, many years ago which was perfect for it. She is now producing 400bhp and quite lively again, with that beautiful distinctive V8 rumble.
