CURRICULUM:Marianoffersallstudentsahighlyacademiccollegepreparatorycourseofstudies.Therearealsohonorscoursesavailable.Thesearedesignedfortheadvancedstudentswhoqualifyforplacement.GradesareweightedaccordingtocollegepreparatoryclassesandHonors/APclasses.Marianhasa4.0weightedGPA(seepg.3).

COURSEPLANNING:Allstudentsareexpectedtotakesevencourseseachsemester.Studentsworkwithcounselorstodevelopandupdateafour-yearsequenceofcoursesconsistentwiththestudent'sabilityandinterests. COURSEAVAILABILITY:Theschoolreservestherighttodropacourseforwhichthereisinsufficientregistration,regardlessofwhetherthecourseispublishedinthiscurriculumhandbook. SCHEDULECHANGES:Themasterteacherscheduleisdeterminedbyclassrequestsmadebystudentsduringregistration.Facultyishiredbasedontheseclassrequests.Therefore,donotexpectschedulechangesotherthanaclasslevelchange.Ifanyotherchangeismade,thereisa$50feechargedbeginningAugust3forfirstsemesterandDecember14,forsecondsemesterschedulechanges.Classesmaynotbedropped/addedafterthesecondweekofthesemester.Levelchangesmustbecompletedbythefourthweekofthesemester.
