ENGLISHSpelling Quiz – Purple MashRead the first few pages of ‘The Cautious Caterpillar’ e-book (can be found on Twinkl).Draw or paint a picture of the caterpillar. Then around the outside of your picture choose lots of adjectives, adverbs, expanded noun phrases about what the caterpillar looks like and what it’s personality is like. Remember these are words or phrases and not sentences! You do not necessarily need the story to draw or paint a picture of a caterpillar and what it might look like and be like, so please do not worry if you cannot access the story.

Can you remember them?Using your picture of the caterpillar, write a detailed description about what the caterpillar looks like using lots of adjectives, adverbs, expanded noun phrases. I would also like you to write about what the caterpillar is like, his personality and give reasons why you think this. You will need to use conjunctions for this like because, and, but, or, when, that. EG: The tiny, green caterpillar has soft, fury skin. It has a long, wiggly body and moves around slowly on his tummy because it only has small, skinny legs. You do not necessarily need the story to write a description about a caterpillar and what it might look like and be like, so please do not worry if you cannot access the story.
