POKER
We had a record number of tables last night for tournament
Tuesday. 34 players and 5 tables. The last tusday of the month is
a “live” games with bigger cash prizes and points for section
members that count towards the accumulative Player of the Year
results. Congratulations to Leonie for taking the 15 points. She was
heads up with Nigel and with Ces dealing lost most of her 20k
white chips. Enter a change of dealer and she practically wins
every hand after that!!
Top 5 overall is Nirmit 42, Losi 40, Gerry 30 and Ces and Leonie
tied on 27. There is still 9 games to go so early days.
Last weekend Team Tewa was off to Grey Lynn Tavern for our
quarterly challenge. It was a tight game but Nigel won on the day
and Manurewa won overall and bought home the tropy again.
If you want a new outlet and think poker could be your game, come
along Tuesday nights before 7pm. Ask for Gerry or Anna. Your
first buy-in is free as are lessons and tips
