2019 Event Proposal
Michmoret Sailing Club
Michmoret sailing club exists since 1982,
mostly as a windsurfing club.
The club is located in one of the centers of marine
culture in Israel (with an academic school of marine
sciences, a 68 years old marine boarding school, sea
turtle rescue center, and more)

The championship will be held in
Ramot Yam, a boarding school with
an extensive marine heritage and
involvement (School students and
alumni hold ~15 RS:X and BIC titles)
The joint accommodation & meals
will enable us to:

› Reduce car rental cost and travel
time
› Conduct joint social activities

The fact that a local boarding school
is our host makes for considerable
reduction of cost. This proposal will
probably be cheaper for the sailors
than any previous BIC event

Israel is hot but the wind is very steady -
the championship will be held on one
course (option for a second course will
be prepared), with morning and
afternoon racing.
The championship will conclude with a long
distance race. The (provisional) winners will
be sailing with flags to the most popular beach
in Israel where sponsor tokens will be
awarded.
