Since 1890, gifts to the General Fund have played a crucial role in our ability to carry out our missionby providing immediate support for the ongoing operations, repairs, upkeep and maintenance ofNSDAR Headquarters. Unrestricted donations to this fund totaling $500 or more in a calendar year(January 1 through December 31) attain recognition in the 1890 Annual Giving Circle.

Donations support the purchase of special equipment, furniture, special or out-of-print books, and otherimportant materials for new and existing library resources and programs.

During this time of increased applications and interest in DAR membership, donations to this fund supports the work of the Office of the Registrar General as they verify record numbers of applicationsand supplementals and guide prospective members.

Membership Challenge $500 minimum $__________Donations help the Office of the Registrar General process applications and supplementals in a varietyof ways, including helping to secure online resources for genealogists. Gifts of $500 or more entitles thedonor to purchase the pin from Hamilton Jewelers, plus inclusion in a listing on the NSDAR website.

Donations to this fund areused to acquire material and conserve the collection, the sole repository of NSDAR history.

Native Americans have helped shape our nation through their hardships of survival, religious ceremonies, and social and political contributions. Donations to this fund support the two IndianSchools, Bacone and Chemawa, the American Indian Youth Summer Camp program, and scholarships.

American Indian Fund $200 minimum $__________This fund has been established to go beyond the scholarship needs in the American Indian community to provide funding for Bacone College, Chemawa Indian School, Indian Youth ofAmerica Summer Camp as well as to provide financial assistance grants for facilities, studentneeds, educational programs and opportunities.

Donations benefit the DAR Magazine Endowment Fund, and serve to increase subscriptions forour award-winning publication, American Spirit. In order to be eligible to purchase the pin there is aminimum one-time donation of $100 + the purchase of five (5) new subscriptions.

The Moving Forward in Service to America Donor Wall, located in theHall of Honor at DAR Headquarters, is designed to recognize those members whose generous donations make itpossible to accomplish these goals. Featuring the Moving Forward “Arrow” symbol of the Dillon Administration,the donor wall provides a wonderful opportunity to honor yourself, your chapter or a loved one, or to commemorate a meaningful event.
