2017 Newsletter To each and every person who hunted with World Safari Xpeditions this year, we thank you for your continued support. Congratulations on great trophies and successful hunts through 2017. We hope to see you back with us again in the future – hunting, or perhaps photographic touring with the family. We would like to share the following 2017 photographs and memories with you: MJK Safaris – Zimbabwe: John Marozzi As the inventor and co-owner of the Woodleigh Hydrostatically Stabilised bullet I am lucky enough to do a lot of hunting and shooting testing bullets. In doing so I get to deal with lots of people and organisations in the hunting world. The service and value for money that Ian & Chris provide is truly first class. If you’re planning a safari of a lifetime to the Dark Continent I have no hesitation in recommending WSX. Border Force permits are taken care of, permits to carry ammunition as well as assistance with local permits when you land in Jo burg. Chris keeps you informed at every stage. All you need to do is buy your airline tickets. Ian being a very keen big game hunter himself makes it his business to hunt with the outfitters that he represents so quality and reliability is assured. Its hunting in the pure sense, on foot and up close. John Marozzi

Whiteswan Lake Outfitters - Canada:

Gary and John Ashmead – Black Bear

Andrew Connors – Goat and Black Bear

Brad Allan – Mule Deer

Paul Collis, John Canone, Robert Antoun and Ray Saunders – were ‘skunked’.

For whatever reason, perhaps the dreadful fires that surrounded the hunt area just prior to

them arriving, none of the group were able to take Elks. After the hunt Paul Collis felt that

hunting 2x1 put too much pressure on the Outfitter. Whiteswan agree with this, and will no

longer be offering 2x 1 hunts in future. They feel that hunters’ chances will improve greatly,

especially if they are unmatched in their ability to climb/walk. There will be exceptions for

father/son hunts and people with disabilities.

Great hunt, great people, great food. They put in a big effort, stalked two bears and dogged the other. By far the best type of hunting I've done with you. Garry Ashmead

We recently stayed in the company of Whiteswan Outfitters for a Hunt in October 2017. Whilst it was beautiful countryside and great hunting the experience was made even more special by the hospitality provided by the entire crew at Whiteswan. They were very aware of everyone’s wants and needs and nothing was too much trouble for them. Joyce looked after the catering and is nothing but absolutely exceptional in the kitchen. Cody was our guide and never tired of taking us as far as we needed to go to find whatever it was we were hunting on that day – never letting height or difficulty get in the way of achieving a good result for the hunt. Darryl was a fantastic overall host, helping with the guiding, assisting in the kitchen and being an overall great help for whatever was needed. The Sword’s that run Whiteswan are an amazing family and an absolute credit to Whiteswan. They made our hunt all the better with the additional touches that made us feel right at home and part of their beautiful family. We have not only made a good contact for hunting, we have also made friends for life. We will definitely be hunting with Whiteswan Outfitters again and would recommend other hunters do the same. I personally have been trophy hunting for over 15 years and this is by far one of the best outfitters I have ever hunted with. Andrew & Jules Connors

** We are excited to announce that Whiteswan Lake have acquired a new

hunting territory. The beauty of this new area is that it almost borders their existing area, so

they can go back and forth if needed on hunts like black bears, cougars, wolf, mule deer, and

elk. This territory has not been hunted in the last 3 or 4 years and is strictly a horseback camp

hunting Moose, Elk and Goat.

Argentina Safaris - Argentina: Tshipise Safaris – South Africa:

Ben McBride, Crosby Lyne and Hamish Colin Keast. Return hunt to Tshipise for

Wallace. This was a bird hunt/come Colin who desperately tried for a Cape

Farm exploration trip. Buffalo but was unsuccessful. However, this magnificent Nyala was taken.

Classic Arnhem Land Safaris – Australia: Mario Mori, Brian Watson, Ian Head Having hunted in south Africa many times I didn’t think that this could been beaten for the hunting experience. But hunting in Arnhem land was one of the most memorable hunts that I have ever had. I recommend this adventure to anyone that is interested in the traditional old way of hunting. Arnhem land is like hunting is supposed to be, with no fences and free roaming animals, and you walk for you game. Graham William from Classic Arnhem land safaris is very thorough and professional with his hunting.

His knowledge about the area and animals is second to none. Camp was very comfortable with all facilities on hand. Camp staff were very friendly, and the food was of a high standard and drinks were cold. All the Buffalo we hunted were of good trophy size. I recommend to you to take the opportunity to book a trip with Classic Arnhem land safaris and see for your self’s how good this really is. Mario Mori.

Pro Safaris – Zimbabwe: Brian Watson (Wato)

Brian Watson’s hunt was the last legally hunted elephant in the Rifa – the end of an era.

Wato’s tenth elephant.

The Rifa has been a favourite hunting destination not only for myself and Wato, but for many

clients. It will now become a photographic safari location. Hopefully the new Outfitters will

continue with the wonderful anti-poaching work done by Pro Safaris – otherwise it could

become a disaster for the animals.

** We are thrilled to announce that we have added a new Outfitter and hunting

location in South Africa – Royal Karoo Safaris located in the mountain country of the

Eastern Cape. It offers 25,000 acres of walk and stalk, fair chase hunting. See our website

for further details and a short video www.worldsafarixpeditions.com Prices are in A$

making it great value.
