PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The two-year Certificate in Not-for-Profit Management is a program designed for Salvation Army personnel. It is offered through learning cohorts of twenty individuals. This certificate program has online courses covering four significant themes of business management and administration: Human Resources, Program Design and Management, Financial Management, and Strategic Planning and Leadership.

A series of three face-to-face intensive sessions at Booth University College over the two-year period of the certificate program will supplement online learning with specific Salvation Army policies and procedures relating to these themes. Additionally, the intensive sessions will serve as the basis for a distinct capstone course engaging certificate participants in a project relevant to their ministry context. Salvation Army personnel will serve as instructors and final project coaches during the face-to-face intensives course periods.

“The certificate in Not-for-Profit Management has given me a greattoolkit for approaching many of the challenges and tasks that I face on a daily basis.”
