Yikes it’s cold!
Students MUST be dressed for the weather as they ARE REQUIRED to be outside before the morning
bell, during morning recess, and after eating their lunch.
This is understandably difficult for students who have not brought mittens, scarves, toques, or warm
jackets, and girls who have bare legs. Please ensure students have appropriate outdoor clothing.
Please Note for Mornings: Students are not permitted to enter the school in the morning until the bell
rings at 8:30. Please consider this when choosing your drop-off time.

Help Needed!
Lights for the Christmas
Concert will need to be
picked up from Immaculata
High School on the morning
of Tuesday, December 13th in
time for rehearsal.
They will then need to be
returned on Friday anytime.
If you have access to a truck
and are able to help with one
or both of these tasks, will
you please contact the office
as soon as possible?
We greatly appreciate it!
Christmas Food Hampers:
Through no fault of their own, there are many in our community who find themselves in desperate circumstances, and
they need to know that someone cares. You are a part of their hope that things will be all right after all when they
realize the community, which is you, is behind them. 40% of Christmas hamper recipients are children.
Normally, each class adopts a family to prepare a hamper for. This year lack of manpower and logistics have made it
difficult to deliver food boxes to each family in need. Therefore, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society is hoping to take
monetary donations and purchase grocery gift cards for them instead.
Cheques can be made out to Saint Vincent de Paul Society, or SSVP. If you still prefer to send food, please do so.
All donations are due on Monday, December 5th please.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
We had fun again this year sending
shoebox gifts to children in the third world.
142 lovingly packed gifts were delivered to needy children
for Christmas!
Soccer In-services
Sincere thanks to Stephan Evans, a new school dad,
who has been volunteering his time to teach soccer in
gym class for each grade. Soccer has always been a
favorite sport at lunch and recess, and now they will
be able to use some new skills. Thank you Stephan!

5 Reasons to Buy Gift Cards from the
School for ALL your shopping needs:
1. When you use gift cards instead of cash to pay
for things you’re planning to buy anyway, those
stores will give a percentage back to the school.
2. Grocery Cards (Superstore, Saveon, G&H),
Starbuck’s and Tim Hortons Cards are always on
hand in the office, meaning you can stop in at the
last minute before your grocery or coffee trip and
grab a card, then go shop feeling great that
you’ve helped the school without spending any
extra money!
3. It’s easy Christmas Shopping!
4. You can use your debit card, cheque, or cash to
pay for your cards.
5. The wonderful parent volunteers will be selling in
the lobby after school on Fridays, watch for them!
The Shopping Card program is an important
source of funds, which the school depends on in
order to fund extra projects. If you don’t normally
buy cards, please consider having a look at the
order form, choosing a few, and seeing how it
goes. There is a multitude of stores, restaurants
and services to choose from.
Thank you for supporting your students!
