LANCASTER INTERNATIONAL PIANO FESTIVALJuly 15-25, 2016

Now in its fifth year, this festival is rapidly generating a reputation as an intensive educational program for rising international young piano stars as well as an outstanding concert series by world-class pianists. The program, selected from LIPF 2016 best pianists in the world, features internationally renowned performers in concerts at both The Ware and Winter Centers.

Celebrate The People’s Shakespeare Project’s 10th anniversary with this iconic masterpiece! It’s 1958, the Beat Generation, and the rumblings of societal change are in the air. A young prince’s world is turned upside down by his father’s death. But when his father’s ghost appears, Hamlet learns the ugly truth and swears to revenge “this foul and most unnatural murder.” But how does a poet/scholar turn soldier and avenger?

Presented outdoors at the Winter Center Alumni Amphitheater. Shaded, level lawn perfect for lawn chairs, blankets, families and picnics. NEW: The Millersville University food truck will offer items for purchase starting at 6:30 pm.

Nationally-acclaimed ensemble of teens and young adults who create and perform original dramatic works that explore social justice issues pertinent to youth in our community and around the world. The ensemble’s work has been honored at the White House and recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts as one of the top arts-education programs in the nation. Thanks to a generous contribution from the Rodgers Family Charitable Foundation, enrollment is completely FREE and open to middle-school, high-school and college age young people of all backgrounds and abilities, with a particular interest in those who have faced various life challenges. No experience necessary.

Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the performances unless it is a Family Fun Fest Show, and must have a ticket.
