Last Start: Littell has been the epitome of longevity, as he has completed at least six innings in each of his last four starts. However, after a stellar seven inning shutout performance at Dayton, Littell got knocked around against Lake County, giving up four runs on eight hits, taking his third loss of the season. History With Wisconsin: Littell has made two career starts against the Timber Rattlers, and has struggled against them to the tune of an 0-1 record and 8.18 ERA in two starts spanning 11 innings. In his one previous start at Neuroscience Group Field, Littell picked up the loss despite allowing just three runs over seven innings.

Digging Deeper: Littell’s biggest troubles have come when runners have been on base, as they are hitting .339 against him in those spots. Opponents are hitting .359 (14-39) against him with runners in scoring position, and with two outs, that number increases to .450 (9-20). Littell’s left on base percentage is 64.5% and his opponents batting average on balls put in play is .379. He is striking out 20.1% of the hitters he is facing, the second highest percentage in his career thus far.

Last Start: Warren’s last start against Fort Wayne was a rare slip up in performance from the righty. He went a season low four innings and gave up a season high four runs, with three of them coming in the first inning. Despite this, the LumberKings won the game, making the team 5-0 in games in which Warren starts. It was also Warren’s second day game start, and his ERA is over three runs higher during the day than at night.

Digging Deeper: The only problems that Warren has really had have come in the first inning. Of the seven runs he has allowed this season, four of them have come in the first. While leadoff men have been hitting .370 against Warren, he has been lock down solid once runners have gotten on base. With runners on, opponents are just 8-49 (.163). With runners on and two outs, they are just 1-19 (.053). The same can be said for when runners are in scoring position (5-28). Warren’s ERA is currently the highest its been all year, and is still the lowest amongst Clinton starters. He is stranding 78.1 % of runners he puts on base, and opponents batting average on balls put in play is .284.

Thursday Starter

RHP #1 Kyle Wilcox(1-1, 6.92 ERA, 26 IP)

Wilcox last time out against Lake County had a very interesting line, as he gave up two runs over four hitless innings. He walked a career high seven, but also struck out seven. In his lone start against Thursday’s opponent Peoria, he allowed two runs on two hits over four innings, but also walked six.
