Praise gets our focus off ourselves and back on God

In our often selfie focused world, we need this constant

reminder - life is not all about us.We may know that in our heads, but yet our hearts think differently so often.

We're prone to selfishness, He desires our eyes be set firmly on Him,

because that's where our true hope is found.

He is worthy of our praise, no matter what we face from day to day.

    Praise him for his mighty deeds;

praise him according to his excellent greatness! Psalm 150:2

"And my tonge shall spea of yor righteosness

and of yor praise all the day long" Psalm #5:2$

A very sad story - Our duck's demise

I ha+e to tell you the sad news that all our ducks aredead they ha+e been massacred by a fiendish do that)umped o+er the wall of our arden. I only manaed to

bury ?acob in our arden, the other three probably ended up

in a arbae bin of house number 42 on 4rd :+enue. It happened this way. @n !aturday 2/ arch /52G at

about 22am the rideback do )umped our arden wall andimmediately went for ?acob, broke his neck and attackedthe two teenaers woundin both before Jaomi and two

passers-by chased the do away. Cachel escaped unharmedby flyin away Jaomi followed her and she replied by

crossin the road in the face of all the traffic and flyin into

the arden. &he three ducks were traumatised, refused toeat and spent the day near our front door in the porch.

&he same niht somethin incredible happened1 Cachel

decided to find out where ?acob was and flew on a suicidemission to 42 on 4rd :+enue about 355 metres away, she landed

in the back arden and was dispatched by the ride back, 25minutes later the wounded teenaer who could fly followedCachel and was also killed by the do.

How did these ducks know where to fly to; If you ha+e ananswer please tell me.

y !unday 24 arch I was left with only one duck with a

broken win that needed cleanin which I did carefully in water inthe duck bath. !he was +ery tremulous but seemed to realise Iwas there to help. &he whole of !unday she remained hiddenbehind a bush, sometimes drinkin water but refusin to eat.

&he ne9t day howe+er she disappeared without a trace the

do had come back, took her home in his mouth and that wasthe end of our ducks.&he owner of 42 on 4rd :+enue has apoloised and assured

us that they will build a hue steel fence around their backarden and i+e us a carrot cake as a peace offerin. ?acob and

Cachel came to us almost four years ao in a card board bo9 asfluffy yellow chicks and entertained us with their clackin and

their uncanny intellience and curiosity sadly we will ha+e to li+ewithout them. aybe we will start in the sprin with new chicks, but Cachel and ?acob are still our champions*
