Eligibility Professionals The 11th “Aegean Airlines Pro-Am” is open to all PGA Members and trainees as recognized by their respective National PGA. A limited number of exemptions may be considered provided that the Professional is a member in good standing of an organisation that is considered a Professional Member of the International Golf Federation. Any doubts as to eligibility will be decided by the PGAs of Europe Board of Directors whose decision will be final. Amateurs Amateur participants must be at least of 18 years old on Wednesday 22nd June 2016 and should be in possession of a current official handicap. 2. Registrations and Competitor Briefing The Championship Office will be operational from 0900hrs on Tuesday 21st June. The Registration office (amateurs) will be operational from 1000hrs on Tuesday 21st June. All competitors will be given a "goody-bag" upon initial registration and all amateur competitors MUST confirm their current handicap upon registration. In addition, all Professionals are requested to register at the Championship Office located in the clubhouse at Navarino Dunes. This must be done before 12.00hrs on Wednesday 22 nd June either in person at the Championship Office or by e-mail to [email protected], or by Telephone using the Tournament Administration Telephone Number: +44 (0)7809 338919. 3. Conditions of Play The event shall be played under The R&A Rules of Golf, the Tournament Regulations of the PGAs of Europe, the 2016 PGAs of Europe Conditions of Competition and the local rules for the Navarino Dunes and Navarino Bay Golf Courses, as determined by the PGAs of Europe Tournament Director. A total of 60 teams (1 Professional and 3 Amateurs) will compete over 36 holes stableford with the best two scores from the team of four to count on each hole. Each team will play 18 holes on Thursday 23rd June and 18 holes on Friday 24th June 2016. Six overall team prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th) will be awarded after accumulating the

scores of the two rounds and the 1st team on each course will be awarded prizes in the divisions (Gold, Silver and Bronze). Divisions for each course will be as follows: Gold Division Positions 1 to 10 following Round 1 Silver Division Positions 11 to 21 following Round 1 Bronze Division Positions 22 to 32 following Round 1 Additional awards for amateurs in the Pro-Am:

• Longest drive (men) Round 2 • Longest drive (ladies) Round 2 • Closest to the pin (men and ladies) Round 2

The professionals will play a 54 hole individual strokeplay event. This will consist of 36 holes strokeplay with their amateur teams (23rd June and 24th June), and a further individual strokeplay round of 18 holes on Saturday 25th June. A total prize fund of 70,000 Euros is offered to the participating professionals in the 11th Aegean Airlines Pro-Am and in the individual Round 3. Additional awards for professionals:

• Longest drive - Round 3 - €200 • Nearest the pin - Round 3 - €200 • Hole in One Award – Round 3 - Prize TBC

There will be a Hole in One prize for professionals only during Round 3. The prize will be awarded to the first professional to achieve a Hole in One.

In the case of a tie in the Professional Individual Strokeplay then a hole by hole play-off will take place on the Dunes Course until a result is achieved.

In the case of a tie in the Pro-Am, prizes will be determined by a card countback based on the scores achieved over the Dunes course.

On the final day (25th June) amateurs will play their own 18 hole individual stableford competition, the Aegean Airlines Cup 2016. Competitors will play in 3 categories according to their handicap and tee times will be allocated on a first come first served basis upon the amateur’s registration with AFEA.

The handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 ladies with a ¾ allowance in both the Pro-Am and the Aegean Airlines Cup 2016.

Amateurs are required to provide their exact handicap on the entry form at the time of entry and will be asked to confirm their handicap at the registration desk of the event. Any amendments MUST be notified by 11.00hrs on Wednesday 22nd June.

The EGA slope system will apply to the tournament and each amateur will play from the applicable handicap.

NOTE: All prize winners will be required to provide current proof of handicap before their teams are presented with their prizes.

NOTE: It is the amateurs’ responsibility to ensure that the registration desk is made aware of their exact handicap as well as the system that their handicap uses. Any disputes regarding the interpretation of these Conditions of Competition will be settled by the PGAs of Europe in consultation with Aegean Airlines and will be binding.

4. Live Scoring

ALL professionals will use a V Par Live Scoring handheld device and they will be briefed on its use when they receive it on Thursday 18th June.

NOTE: The tournament organizers request that ALL PROFESSIONALS update their scores on the handheld device on completion of each hole, however please note that the scorecard will remain the official form of scoring. 5. Draws The starting times for Rounds 1 and 2 of the Pro-Am tournament will be published in the tournament office by 13.00hrs on Wednesday 22nd June as well as at the Official Hotel, The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino by 14.00hrs. Any tee time requests for Rounds 1 or 2 must be made to the Championship Office, with accompanying reason by 11.00hrs on Wednesday June 22nd . Requests may be declined if a suitable reason is not provided. A suitable reason would include but not be limited to flight times or proven illness. Please be advised that personal preference does not constitute a suitable reason to request a starting time. The Round 3 starting times for Professionals will be published in the tournament office and at the official hotel following completion of Round 2. The order of play will be in strict score order with the leading Professional going out last. The starting times for the individual amateur competition on Saturday 25th June will be posted in the clubhouse by 13.00hrs on Friday 19th June and also at the official hotel by 14.00hrs. NOTE: No changes to the draws will be permitted once they are posted and the decision of the Tournament Director in conjunction with Aegean Airlines will be final. 6. Starting All competitors are required to be at their starting tee 10 minutes prior to their start time. This is to

allow the starter to provide pin positions, local rules and additional information to each player. This also ensures that all team members are present and able to start on time. Male professionals will play from the White Tees, female professionals from the Blue Tees, male amateurs from the Yellow Tees and ladies from the red tees. Important When a team comprises of more than a Professional and one amateur the team will incur a penalty of two strokes, if at the designated starting time they cannot fulfill the scoring requirements of the event:

i. Where the Professional is marking an individual score and the Professional is late then no

penalty is applied to the team score providing that the team could fulfill the Pro-Am scoring requirements assuming that the professional was present. A penalty of two strokes shall be applied to the Professional's individual score.

ii. The team shall only commence play if the professional and the minimum number of amateur partners required to fulfill the scoring requirements are present.

iii. If a team cannot fulfill the scoring requirements of the event at the time of the last starting time the team shall be disqualified. Exception to this clause will be in the instance of a Professional not being ready to commence play by this time and if in these circumstances the team can fulfill the scoring requirements of the event then they will be permitted to play without the Professional. If a team commences play under these circumstances, then any player may join the team on the course upon his arrival. NOTE: When both Professional and the team are subject to a two stroke penalty for lateness on the tee, the team total for the first hole will be increased by two shots prior to any penalty being added to the Professional's individual score for that hole.

7. Buggies All competitors will be permitted to ride in buggies for the practice rounds and the first 2 rounds of the Pro-Am. Professionals will NOT be allowed buggies in round 3. The Aegean Airlines Cup 2016 will be conducted on buggies. 8. Recording of Scores All scorecards must be returned to the recording area situated within the Tournament Office immediately following play. 9. Rulings & Doubt as to Procedure There will be PGAs of Europe Rules Officials on the courses at all times to deal with any disputes.

If, however, there is no Rules Official present the player may invoke Rule 3-3 (two ball rule). The player must nominate the ball with which he wants to score, should the rules permit, and report the facts to a PGAs of Europe Official immediately after the conclusion of play. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. 10. Distance Measuring Devices As per Section B3 of the PGAs of Europe Conditions of Competition, all competitors will be permitted to use distance measuring devices provided they measure distance only. If a player has any doubt as to whether a device is conforming they should seek the advice of a PGAs of Europe official. 11. Slow Play For everyone's enjoyment we ask for each team to “keep up with the team in front and not in front of the team behind”. If a player is not going to score on a hole please "pick up". It will be the professional's responsibility to ensure that the team's pace of play adheres to the guidelines of the Tournament Director. 12. Bad Weather / Play Foreshortened or Cancelled In the event of bad weather and an overall result not being possible, the overall result will be decided over completed rounds. All players should make themselves aware of the Suspension of Play Policy which can be found on the PGAs of Europe Hard Card – Section B5. In all instances when there is a threat of lightning the player should put their own safety first and seek shelter as soon as possible. In the event of unforeseen circumstances any decision shall be made by the PGAs of Europe and, in consultation with Aegean Airlines, will be binding. 13. Golf Clubs – Check in procedure Upon arrival at the Westin Resort, Costa Navarino Reception for the check in, there will be staff from the Navarino Dunes Club House that will take all golf bags to the Club House storage area directly. All participants are kindly requested to leave only golfing items within the golf bags and not any other personal belongings. 14. Dress Regulations Normal Golf clothing is to be worn at Costa Navarino Golf courses during the tournament or the equivalent after golf.

Jacket, Collar and Tie are required for the Prize Giving Ceremony & Closing Reception. Women should wear formal dress. All other functions are smart casual. 15. Children Only children over the age of 12 years old are permitted to attend social events. Such participation is also subject to the accompanying person’s fee. 16. Catering A food and beverage service will be in operation at Westin Resort and Golf courses for the duration of the tournament. With the exception of official functions and the on-course snacks and refreshments, payment for all food and beverage is the responsibility of each individual. 17. Mobile Phones Mobile phones are NOT permitted on the golf courses under any circumstances. They should be used with discretion elsewhere. 18. Exchange Rate The local currency is Euro. 19.
