Dear Participants,
We wish to thank you cordially for honoring the 14th Aegean Airlines Pro-Am with your kind participation as players, partners and guests!
We will ensure that you will enjoy a unique atmosphere in the heavenly nature of Costa Navarino and that you will run challenging rounds of golf at the 18th – hole championship golf courses, the Dunes and the Bay. The new Clubhouse at Costa Navarino’s Bay Course will complete your joy of golf with its fascinating architecture and its breathtaking veranda overlooking Navarino Bay. Having said that, the Bay Course has been re-numbered so that the new holes 1 and 18 “meet” the unique new Bay Clubhouse.
It is great honor that the PGAs of Europe our corporate partner in golf is sanctioning the Aegean Airlines Pro-Am for 14 years with a highly supportive tournament team and PGA professional contacts across the world. Along with Ian Randell and his team we envision to continue to develop such high-level synergies for golf with tangible benefits for the market, the associations and the players.
During the tournament week, the evenings will be filled with inspiring social events, including a welcome reception (under the motto “Hello September”) and, a 90s Night (“Game on!”). Crowning the event, the Gala Dinner and Prize-giving Ceremony will also celebrate a corporate milestone, AEGEAN’s 20th anniversary, marking two decades of operations, experiences, success, accomplishments and memories! We are proud and grateful to be part of the AEGEAN family for 20 years!
At the start of the third decade, we have entered a new cycle of growth with an order for 46 Airbus A320 neo and A321neo aircraft, aiming to offer our passengers with new benefits and advanced services.
In all respects, we are guided by the vision of the founder, the late Chairman Theodore Vassilakis.

Dear Competitors
We are very pleased to be welcoming you to the 14th edition of the Aegean Airlines Pro-Am once again taking place here at the beautiful Costa Navarino.
This year marks the first time the event has taken place in September and I am sure you will agree it is no less exciting and enthralling to be returning.
Over the years our relationship has grown ever-stronger with Aegean Airlines and not only have they proven to be fantastic Corporate Partners of the PGAs of Europe, but they are more importantly wonderful friends to us all.
Aegean Airlines have not only supported the Association as a whole but have played a key part in the success of our flagship event, the Annual Congress and International Team Championships, that has taken place at Costa Navarino for the past two years as well.
The Aegean Airlines Pro-Am is one of the biggest highlights of our tournament schedule, and our heartfelt thanks go to Katia, Mary and everyone at Aegean for continuing the late-Mr Vassilakis’ legacy in supporting and growing golf.
Costa Navarino will always hold a special place in our hearts as well and we have no doubt they will make all our stays very comfortable and enjoyable with their world-renowned Messinian hospitality. Aegean Airlines has the pleasure of welcoming you to the 14th “Aegean Airlines Pro-Am” at the prestigious premises of Costa Navarino where 62 professional golfers in 62 teams will be competing for a total prize fund of €70,000 in this PGAs of Europe sanctioned event.
Aegean Airlines continue to build upon the success of the previous thirteen years of the internationally renowned “Aegean Airlines Pro-Am" that will be returning once again to Costa Navarino.
This year, for the seventh time, the competition will take place over the two golf courses at Costa Navarino: on the unspoiled and breathtaking seaside landscapes of The Dunes Course, designed by Bernhard Langer, and on the fully renovated The Bay Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, with its brand-new Club House.
The Aegean Airlines Pro-Am has developed a long-standing legacy of bringing top-quality golf to the Messinia Region of Greece, giving Professionals and amateurs alike the chance to experience Costa Navarino’s excellent facilities.
The hugely popular event is world renowned for its quality both on and off the golf course: the 62 participating Teams are entertained at various après-golf events throughout the tournament week while enjoying a total of 54 golf holes on The Dunes and The Bay magnificent Courses.

The impressive seaside The Dunes Course is the first signature golf course in Greece, designed by two times US Masters Champion and former Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design. This championship course, set in a landscape of diverse topography with spectacular sea and river views, incorporates some links-style features in areas closest to the sea, with tall dunes dividing some of the holes adjacent to the golden beach.
Parts of the course venture into olive and fruit groves, while some holes run along a small river that meanders through the site. Combined with large undulating greens, wide fairways and steep-faced pot bunkers, the link element of the course adds to its unique style and playability.
"The Dunes Course" has been designed to provide an exciting challenge for all golfers. Each hole has multiple sets of tees to allow the player to select the course length that best suite his or her game. The course will therefore measure from a little more than 5,000 metres from the front tees to almost 6.018 metres from the back tees with a par of 71. Generously wide fairways and large greens make good targets which will be appreciated by most golfers.

The acclaimed US publication Robb Report has included The Bay Course among the “Best of the Best: Golf Courses”.
Open since October 2011, the 18-hole seaside "The Bay Course" at Navarino Bay, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, promises to be both a fun experience and a challenging test for golfers of all levels. Troon Golf, the world's leading luxury-brand golf management company, also operates "The Bay Course". With the majority of tees offering sublime sea views and two holes playing along the historic Bay of Navarino, the course meanders through three distinct natural landscapes, The Seaside, Canyon, and Grove holes provide striking contrasts that create a dramatic and memorable golf round.
Seaside: Golfers will experience four different Seaside greens framed by a scenic backdrop of the tranquil waters of the Bay of Navarino. The bay's natural beauty is showcased on hole #17, a short and strategic par 4 directly fronting the bay with the town of Pylos visible in the background. This challenging hole will present tremendous visual appeal.
Canyon: On "The Bay Course"'s numerous Canyon holes, golfers will play from elevated tees and pursue their drives into and through box canyons as the course switches inland from the sea. These holes will feel more intimate than the Seaside holes and offer very different views and a greater variety of strategic options.
Grove: More than 1,000 mature olive trees - some more than 500 years old - were saved during the construction of the course and transplanted along the perimeter. The Grove holes meander through this treed landscape, providing distinctive mountain views in striking contrast to the Seaside and Canyon holes.
The golf course plays to a par of 70 from a variety of lengths designed to challenge golfers of various skill levels. Crafted across natural terrain, the layout offers panoramic seaside and mountain views in addition to having several holes that play directly along the sea, providing an unforgettable golfing experience. Moreover, players are welcome to sample the ripe fruit from the trees around the course at their leisure.

Registrations
Competitors Briefing
ProfessionalsThe 14th “Aegean Airlines Pro-Am” is open to all PGA Members and trainees as recognized by their respective National PGA. A limited number of exemptions may be considered, provided that the Professional is a member in good standing of an organization that is considered a Professional Member of the International Golf Federation. Any doubts as to eligibility will be decided by the PGAs of Europe Board of Directors whose decision will be final.
The Professional and Amateur Registration Desk will be operational from 10.00hrs on Tuesday 17th September and will be located at the entrance of the House of Events opposite the entrance of The Romanos Costa Navarino. All amateur competitors MUST confirm their current handicap upon registration.
Professional’s Briefing will take place at the Championship office/PGAs of Europe Desk upon registration.
Amateurs Amateur participants must be at least of 18 years old on Thursday 19th September 2019 and should be in possession of a current official handicap.
Professionals Individual StrokeplayThe Professionals will play a 54-hole individual Stroke Play event. Each Professional will play 18 holes on Thursday 19th September, 18 holes on Friday 20th September and 18 holes on Saturday 21st September 2019.
The event shall be played under the R&A Rules of Golf, the Tournament Regulations of the PGAs of Europe, the 2019 PGAs of Europe Conditions of Competition and the local rules for the Navarino Dunes and Navarino Bay Golf Courses, as determined by the PGAs of Europe Chief Referee.Male Professionals will play from the White Tees; Female Professionals will play from the Yellow Tees.
Conditions of Play
Divisions for each course will be as follows:
Gold Division 1st to 10th ranked team following Round 1
Silver Division 11th to 19th ranked team following Round 1
Bronze Division 20th to 29th ranked team following Round 1
Additional awards for amateurs in the Pro-Am:
• Longest drive (men) Round 2• Longest drive (ladies) Round 2• Closest to the pin (men and ladies) Round 2
1st place in each division of the three blocks in the Aegean Airlines Cup 2018 will also receive prizes. In the case of a tie in the Pro-Am, prizes will be determined by a card count back based on the scores achieved over “The Dunes Course”.

Professional Prize Fund Breakdown (Total €70,000)* Professional Individual Fund (Total 45.200€)
Pro Am Fund (based on 62 teams): € 24.800 (€400 x 62 pros)
The professional participants in the 14th “Aegean Airlines Pro-Am” will also receive the same purse of 400€ each for their participation. The fund of 24.800€ will be distributed evenly among each professional, irrespective to the final ranking and score of the respective teams participating in the 3-day Pro-Am tournament.
Additional awards for professionals:
• Longest drive - Round 3 - 200€• Nearest the pin (Hole 14 at The Dunes Course)
- Round 3 - 200€
In the case of a tie in the Professional Individual Stroke play then a hole by hole play-off will take place on the Dunes Course until a result is achieved.
*Please note that all Prize money is subject to a PGAs of Europe5% Levy.
All Professionals who complete both rounds in the Pro-Am will receive an additional 400€ Prize Money.

• The “Hole-in-One” Award Prize for Professionals is a BMW x3 x Drive20d, 1.995cc, 140hp car.• The prize is only available to Professionals and will be awarded to the first Professional to achieve a Hole – In One at round 3 at Hole No10, September 21st, 2019. Absolutely no practice shots or mulligans are permitted on the Prize hole. The award shall be agreed to and confirmed by a Loss Adjuster present at Hole 10 at the Dunes Course as afforded by the WorldWide Hole 'N One Indemnity Insurance. Also raw, unedited videotape of the entire Main Hole activity, is required.

Important Information
Draws
Aegean Airlines Pro-AmThe draw for Rounds 1 and 2 of the Aegean Airlines Pro-Am tournament will be published in the Tournament Office after 13.00hrs on Wednesday 18th September, and at the Official Hotel, The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino after 14.00hrs. Players will also be notified of their stating times by email.
Professionals’ Individual Strokeplay – Round 3The draw for Round 3 will be published in the Tournament Office and at the Official Hotel, The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino following completion of Round 2. Play will be in strict score order with the leader out last.
Aegean Airlines CupThe draws for all three slots will be published following completion of Round 02.
NOTE: No changes to any of the draws will be permitted once they are published and the decision of the Tournament Manager in conjunction with Aegean Airlines will be final.

Important Information
Starting Times
All competitors are required to be at their starting tee 10 minutes prior to their start time. This is to allow the starter to provide pin positions, local rules and additional information to each player. This also ensures that all team members are present and able to start on time.
Important
Missing team members including the PGA Professional may be subject to penalty if the team in question fails to meet the points highlighted in 20.1 of the PGA’s of Europe tournament Regulations
NOTE: When both Professional and the team are subject to a two-stroke penalty for lateness on the tee, the team total for the first hole will be increased by two shots prior to any penalty being added to the Professional's individual score for that hole.
Putting Green Competition The Dunes Course, 21 September 2019, powered by AEGEAN and PAGES.
In the context of the 14th Aegean Airlines Pro-Am and following the successful staging of FootGolf events and Golf Clinics powered by Aegean, a Putting Green Competition will be organized on Saturday, 21 September 2019, at the Putting Green area of The Dunes Course, powered by Aegean and PAGES. It is open to the participants of the Pro-Am (limited to 30 participants on first come, first served basis). This event will feature International Sports legends of football, basketball and rugby (Christian Karembeu, Joe Arlauckas, Laurent Blanc, Thom Evans, Antoine Kambouare, Takis Gonias, A. Basinas, Ant. Nikopolidis, K. Katsouranis and G. Karagounis)! The Putting Green compettion will attract press, sponsors and visitors of the tournament and the resort!
Buggies
All competitors will be permitted to ride in buggies for the practice rounds and the first 2 rounds of the Pro-Am.Professionals will NOT be allowed buggies in round 3.All competitors of The Aegean Airlines Cup 2019 will be permitted to ride in buggies.
Recording of Scores
All scorecards for rounds 1, 2 and 3 must be returned by the Professional to the recording area situated within the Tournament Office immediately following play.
Rulings & Doubt as to Procedure
There will be PGAs of Europe Rules Officials on the courses at all times to deal with any disputes.
If, however, there is no Rules Official present the player may invoke Rule 20.1c(3) (two ball rule). The player must nominate the ball with which he/she wants to score, should the rules permit, and report the facts to a PGAs of Europe Official immediately after the conclusion of play. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Distance-measuring Devices
All competitors will be permitted to use distance-measuring devices provided they measure distance only. If a player has any doubt as to whether a device is conforming they should seek the advice of a PGAs of Europe official.

For everyone's enjoyment we ask for each team to “keep up with the team in front, and not in front of the team behind”. If a player is not going to score on a hole, he/she is requested to please "pick up".
It will be the professional's responsibility to ensure that the team's pace of play adheres to the guidelines of the Chief Referee.
Bad Weather / Play Foreshortened or Cancelled
In the event of bad weather and an overall result not being possible, the overall result will be decided over completed rounds.
All players should make themselves aware of the Suspension of Play Policy, which can be found on the PGAs of Europe Hard Card – Section A11. In all instances when there is a threat of lightning the player should put their own safety first and seek shelter as soon as possible.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances any decision shall be made by the PGAs of Europe and, in consultation with Aegean Airlines, will be binding.
Golf Clubs – Check in procedure
Upon arrival at the Westin Resort, Costa Navarino Reception for check-in, there will be staff from the Navarino Dunes Club House that will take all golf bags to the Club House storage area directly.
All participants are kindly requested to leave only golfing items within the golf bags and no other personal belongings.
Dress Regulations
Normal Golf clothing is to be worn at Costa Navarino Golf courses during the tournament or the equivalent after golf.
