The 699th Meeting of the Drifters Jeep Club was not called to order at 7:30 pm by Patrick Fay.
Flag Salute was not led by anyone.
Roll Call was not taken by David Meyer with no members no qualifying members and no guests but everyone gets a point for not at-tending, since it’s not our fault we are still all locked down. Its been so long now, we are forgetting what the members look like.
Minutes of previous meeting were not read by Linda Torrey and approved by the club.
Treasurers Report: See Newsletter for de-tails.
Bills to be Paid: If we have bills, they have been postponed.

The entire club, and I think I can speak for everyone, wishes you the best of outcomes and we are all thinking and praying for you. As always, if blood or platelets are needed, be sure to let us know and we will step up

Greetings Drifters: My time as President of this great club is coming to a merciful end. We have had a lot of fun the last 2+ years. We also have experienced heartache and sadness. Whoever thought we would be dealing with a pandemic on top of it all. It has been my pleasure keeping the club moving for a couple of years, my goal was to keep the club status quo and respect the many outstanding members that came before me. I truly hope I achieved that. It is time for me to sit in the audience and support the club in different ways now. Thank you all for the support. Especially my fellow officers, David Meyer V.P. was always on top of things and super helpful when I needed any help ,Linda Torrey Secretary kept us organized and when I couldn't find my copy of the bylaws or needed to know what meeting number we were at she was always ready to provide that information and more. Thank you both for two great years. Arnold Tafoya was Treasurer for year one and did an outstanding job with the club’s resources, I suspect with a little help from Maria. Thanks Arnold and Ma-ria. Tristam Autrey helped us out as Treasurer for year two. It's my fault but we threw Tris to the wolves a little bit. He was not sure he could decline the nomination, but he got through it and I'm very grateful for his help as well. Thanks Tris. A special Thanks to the Board of Directors members also. We did not have very many meetings but that was by design. As noted, before I wanted to keep things light. By now you have all heard about the "Unwanted Journey" the Romano family has embarked upon. If you are not al-ready, I encourage you to follow along with the blog chronicling the "adventures". teamromanoapl.blogspot.com. I have spoken with Daryl multiple times and his spirits are high and his outlook is positive. By the time, his 30 days are up I'm sure the kitchen staff and nurses will be happy to see him go. You know what they say about guests, they all bring you happiness, some when they arrive, some when they leave. But seriously, please keep the Romano’s in your thoughts and prayers. More information coming regarding a blood drive and platelet donations. PPP is still on. August 14-16. Our reservation numbers are exceptionally low. As of now we have 12 sites reserved. I am sure it is due to Covid-19 and it's certainly understandable. If you are planning on camping please call and make your reservation ASAP. 951-303-0173 tell them you are with the Drifters for the discounted rate. I will be cancelling the unused sites in the first week of August. I will be reaching out to the membership to see how many day trippers will be attending. At our July 16th meeting in the park we will be peacefully transferring power to our new officers, Gary Parkin President, Brian Shively VP, Sandy Dewhurst, Treasurer and Kathleen (with Dan) Calva Secretary. If anyone wants to be nominat-ed or wants to nominate anyone else, please come to the meeting. Next meeting Thursday July 16th 6:30 pm San Dimas canyon park. Potluck. Bring your favorite dish to share. Some-body please pick up John Burr (JB) it seems he does not know where the park is.

Cleghorn clean up today was a success!! With 7 Drifters, 1 Drifter friend, 3 friends from Lost Jeep SoCal Jeep Club and the Forest Ranger! We picked up a lot of trash, and help the CHP find a Toyota Truck down the side of a mountain! It was very busy day on Cleghorn, lots of oncoming traffic. A few beginners run also up there and for some reason a lot of 2 wheel drive trucks up there getting stuck. Anyways still made for a good Sunday!! Thanks to Don, Lou, Jerry, Val, Tris, and Reg for helping do our part! And a Special Thanks to Lost Jeep SoCal Jeep Club, Bart, Gene, Jesse and Coco Also Lou's friend Hugo for coming out on your Sunday to help us clean up!

th the Cal4Wheel board met.
Discussion about Pismo / Oceana Dunes, they are asking for more compromise on our part but give nothing in return. We are not going to give them anything, no more compromise.

The Forest Service wants a COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure of 1 to 3 pages to describe what we will do to keep everyone safe during any events. It is not clear what is to be included but the usual of safe distancing, masks, washing any porta-potty’s every couple of hours, and so on.
Cal4Wheel is trying to put together an updated strategic plan, anyone who wants to help can contact the presi-dent, Jack Chapman.
Russ, our new state treasurer, has recommended and has begun to close out event checking accounts. Most events and the Raffle Jeep have their own checkbooks. This makes accounting tougher and we are now putting all checks thru the main checking account. A SOP is still in work by Russ and this should be accomplished by the end of the year.
Still trying to find an insurance company that will cover side x sides at our events. Until this is resolved we cannot allow S x S.
