42nd Annual Members Meeting September 22-25
Mark your calendars for The American Driving Society, Inc. (ADS) Annual Mem-
bers Meeting to be held in Southern Pines, NC Carolina. You are welcome to
bring your horses. We have an exciting schedule planned that includes marked
drives, cones open and judged, a clinic with Robin Groves, wine tasting, several
presentations, golf cart cones, tours, a safari drive, and a dinner/ dance on Satur-
day evening. This is a time when you as members can let the ADS Board of Direc-
tors know what you want for your organization!
Our new Consulting Executive Director, Louise Rothery, and Editor/Advertising
Director, Abbie Trexler, will be in attendance so you will have a chance to meet
them. It is always nice for the staff and the BOD to put names to faces. You can

Bring a book or needle work or whatever. Hopelands is a beautiful place with interesting visitors from all over the world... Call Sam Radford Recreation Supervisor with the City of Aiken Parks and Tour-ism Department 803 642-7650 Sam has done a great job getting the mu-seum open to the public and he has included lots of Aiken Driving Club his-tory .

The 20th of each month is the deadline for submissions and corrections. Pho-tos should be emailed to the Editor and ALSO to the Webmaster. Please iden-tify, people, animals and photographer. Your submitted photograph implies permission for its use.

ADC PresidentADC PresidentADC PresidentADC President Summer is here, no rain and grass is drying up, not to mention the sizzler afternoons. Ahh but those early morning drives while the dew is still on the ground and the air smells sweet and fresh are just the best.
I hope most of you are able to get out and enjoy. Some summer sizzlers and a breakfast drive are on the schedule for July. Don’t miss them.
