An Introduction

Founded in 1868 as a trading company, the TATA Group is today a global enterprise

comprising over 100 operating companies, with operations in more than 100 countries

across six continents.

The revenue of TATA companies, taken together, was $103.27 billion in 2013-14 with over

67.2% of revenue coming from businesses outside India. TATA companies employ over

580,000 people worldwide.

Good corporate citizenship is part of TATA Group DNA. 66% of the equity of TATA Sons, the

promoter holding company is held by philanthropic trusts, thereby returning wealth to

society. TATA name has been respected for more than 140 years and is trusted for tis

About TATA Power Solar Formed as a result of a Joint Venture between TATA Power and BP Solar in 1989, TATA

Power Solar Systems Ltd (formerly known as TATA BP Solar), was reconstituted as a 100%

subsidiary of TATA Power after BP Solar exited from solar business worldwide in 2012.

Sustainability and Quality have been strong cornerstones of TATA Power Solar for the past 25 years. This is evident from the fact that we were one of the earliest entrants in Solar PV long before it became mainstream technology in renewable space. Our facility and products are certified and compliant to all international standards. The next sections present brief summaries on the same.

Certifications for Proven Product Quality Our products are compliant with all leading international standards in product quality, safety

and long term reliability. The table below summarises certifications for our modules.

Products We make solar modules/ panels starting from 3Wp all the way till 310Wp in multiple cell

configurations such as 36 cell, 60 and 72 cell configurations for full cell based modules and

smaller modules in multiple configurations for off-grid applications.
