HOW S.E.E. CLASSES ARE OFFERED

WEEK LONG SESSION IN FEBRUARY

For five consecutive days, three, two-hour, classes are offered for SEE credit or audit. A student can take one, two, or all three. Each credit course costs $60: $45 paid to Unity Institute when one registers online and $15 payable to Atlanta Unity. Non-credit classes are $25 which is paid to Atlanta Unity Church. A love offering for instructors will also be taken. (Remember, instructors do not get paid to teach these classes.) See class schedule for dates and times of each class.

SOUPER SATURDAYS

For five consecutive Saturdays, three, two-hour, classes are offered for SEE credit or audit. A student can take one, two, or all three. Lunch is provided by Atlanta Unity Church. Cost and registration is the same as WEEK LONG SESSION IN FEBRUARY. A love offering for instructors will also be taken. See class schedule for dates and times of each class.

TWO DAY FIVE-HOUR COURSE

These courses are offered for two consecutive Saturdays for five (5) hours each Saturday. These are elective courses, not core courses. Because of the condensed timeframe, it is imperative that you come prepared. Usually the instructor will give you your assignment before classes begin so you will be prepared to participate. Cost and registration is the same as WEEK LONG SESSION IN FEBRUARY. A love offering for instructors will also be taken. See class schedule for dates and times of each class.

SETTING A TRAP FOR GOD

What is prayer? What exactly does it mean? What does prayer accomplish?

Dr. Rocco A. Errico answers these questions about prayer through this newly revised and expanded edition of his popular Ancient Aramaic Prayer of Jesus--the Lord's Prayer. He focuses on the original Aramaic manuscripts, the ancient culture of the Middle East, and its Aramaic language of two thousand years ago. Errico presents definitions for words such as our Father, hallowed, daily bread, temptation, evil, and amen from the linguistic and cultural viewpoint of the era. You will learn about the eight spiritual attunements within the prayer that strengthen your connection with God. METAPHYSICS II - PART 1

During this course you will explore some of the fundamental principles of Spiritual Law and how they can be applied to your life for greater love, health, and prosperity. By studying the works of prominent Unity writers, as well as specific metaphysical and theological views as presented in Heart-centered Metaphysics, you will be encouraged to awaken your awareness and understanding of spiritual Truth. Through the consistent use of these practical principles, you will realize more of your spiritual potential and find that your life is transformed! Topics explored in this class are: The Four Functions of Consciousness, Thoughts/Feelings, The Word, Denials and Affirmations, Creation, The Twelve Powers, and Developing the Twelve Powers.

MYRTLE AND CHARLES FILLMORE ON HEALING AND WHOLENESS - PART 1

This course is based on the spiritual laws and universal principles that support the expression of health and wholeness in our minds, bodies, and affairs. We will be working with Myrtle and Charles Fillmore’s interpretation of how Jesus used and demonstrated those in his own life. Such laws and principles will be presented to support participants in developing a practical understanding of Myrtle and Charles' theology as heart-centered metaphysicians. It is our expectation that through the development of such practical understanding, participants will be inspired to also become heart-centered metaphysicians. We also expect them to develop a “tool kit” for using healing principles in their daily lives and in supporting other people in their own healing process.

PROSPERITY

This five-week class begins with the premise that

“Prosperity is our Divine Birthright.” Prosperity flows from us and manifests in our lives as health, happiness, loving

relationships and so much more. We will grow in

consciousness and demonstrate prosperity through

journaling, class participation and acting on Divine Ideas.

Each class will study one of five prosperity laws:

1) The Law of Giving and Receiving

2) The Law of Compensation

3) The Law of Increase

4) The Law of Love

5) The Law of Tithing.

THE TWELVE POWERS

In this course we will review the book, The Twelve Powers,

by Charles Fillmore and PowerUP! by Paul Hasselbeck and

Cher Holton. In doing so, we will also review many of our

basic Unity principles. Our working knowledge of our Truth

Principles will then be put into practical application in our

own lives. Through the use of these Truth Principles, you

have the opportunity to create a new you and a new

destiny as you choose to stay the course of your new

destiny.

THE CHRIST IN THE BIBLE

Using the Bible as our primary text, we will explore the Christ idea as it relates to Jesus and all humankind. We will attempt to discover: what the Christ idea is, where it came from, what it meant to the people of Jesus’ time, and how the Christ idea evolved during the period when the books of the New Testament were being written.

THE CASE FOR REINCARNATION

The idea of reincarnation - the belief that the soul continues after

BIBLE OVERVIEW: CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES

Overview of the Christian Scriptures explores the Gospels, Letters, History (Book of Acts), and Apocryphal literature (Book of Revelation) that comprise what is more commonly known as the “New Testament” of the Judeo-Christian Bible. Overview of the Christian Scriptures is not a course in metaphysical Bible interpretation. A primary purpose of the course is to develop an understanding of the Christian Scriptures’ meaning for the people to whom they were written. Overview of the Christian Scriptures is based on the premise that, whatever else the Christian Scriptures may be, they most definitely are the response of early Christian writers to both the person and the message of Jesus Christ. Understanding the Christian Scriptures as a Testament about Jesus Christ rather than a Testament of Jesus Christ frees us to appreciate and become inspired by the powerful faith of these first followers of The Way.

BIBLE OVERVIEW: HEBREW SCRIPTURES

This course uses the term “Hebrew Scriptures” in place of the more commonly used term “Old Testament.” Overview of the Hebrew Scriptures introduces the rich history of the Hebrew Scriptures, known in Hebrew culture as Tanakh, and provides a framework for future study. Learners will explore the history and development of the Hebrew Scriptures through stories, exploration of events, and discussion of the perspectives from which the books of the Law (Torah), the Prophets (Nevi’im), and the Writings (Kethuvim) were written. The course identifies the main story lines and historical periods of the Hebrew Scriptures. It begins with the allegories of Genesis and traces the history of the Hebrew people from the call of Abraham through the Patriarchal period, the Exodus, the period of the Judges, the United Kingdom, the Divided Kingdom, the Exile, and the post-Exile period.

Cora Alexander has been a practicing Truth Student since

the early 70’s when she discovered the Daily Word. In April 2009, she achieved a 20-year dream of becoming a

Licensed Unity Teacher through Unity Worldwide

Ministries. She facilitated numerous Unity classes in

Houston, Texas and is now based at Atlanta Unity in

Norcross, GA. She also provides classes at Unity South

Atlanta in Jonesboro, GA. Her teaching style provides a

safe environment where participants can stretch beyond

their comfort zone, practice presentation skills and grow in

consciousness. She loves challenging mediocre or “text- book responses” and relating topics to relevant real world experiences. Cora is a Certified Life Purpose and

Prosperity Coach.

Her teaching philosophy is “I AM here to serve.”

Anna Andes, Ed.D, LUT found Unity of Mesa in 1983.

While there Anna became a licensed Unity teacher in 1988

and taught 3 year- olds, YOU and adult classes. Prior to

that Anna taught Child Development and Human Relations

for 15 years at Dobson High School in Mesa, Az. In

January 1996 Anna became Curriculum Development

Director for the Association of Unity Churches, now Unity

Worldwide Ministries. During her 13 years she implemented

the Living Curriculum philosophy into various curricula

created for children, youth and small group ministry.

Currently Anna teaches SEE classes for Atlanta Unity and

at Unity Church and Spiritual Center, Conyers, GA.

Larry is a combination 21st century circuit rider and Johnny

Appleseed.

His ministry is speaking at a variety of churches, most often

when they are between ministers. Instead of planting apple

seeds in fertile soil that grow to produce good fruit to

nourish the body, he plants seeds of TRUTH in fertile

minds that promote the development of the Kingdom of

Heaven here in the earth plane.

He has spoken in many churches in the US, but was also

on the New Thought speaking circuit in Australia when he

attended the Parliament of World Religions. Most recently,

he spoke at the Unity Church in London, England, when

attending a New Thought conference in Glastonbury.

Clive is a Licensed Unity Minister, Licensed Unity Teacher,

Clive is also a New Thought speaker, teacher and trainer.

Clive believes in practical spiritual insight and inspiration for

life and living. He is a practitioner of Get Real Spirituality

and Tough Love Life Coaching.

REV. PAUL HASSELBECK

Paul was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He discovered the Unity Movement in Puerto Rico while an avid student and facilitator of A Course in Miracles. He was co-founder of the only English language Unity Church in Puerto Rico, Beacon of Light Unity Church. He was Minister of Prayer and Pastoral Care at Unity Church of Overland Park from 1996 – 1998. He was also Retreat Minister for Unity School of Christianity from 1998 – 2004. Paul was Dean, Spiritual Education and Enrichment, from 2004 until 2014. Currently he is a full Time Faculty member, Spiritual Education and Enrichment, 2014.

People have commented on how Paul makes the Unity teachings more understandable and practical in daily life. He is our leading Metaphysics authority. He has had a major role in bringing Unity’s Metaphysics into the 21st century. With a genuine passion for clarity and precision, Paul guides his students to awaken awareness and deepen understanding.

Paul is also a national speaker, workshop leader and teacher. He co-hosts, Metaphysical Romp II (with Revs. Drs. Cher and Bil Holton), a weekly internet radio program, on Unity Internet Radio – www.unity.fm – Tuesdays from 2 – 3 PM Central time or by downloaded podcasts.

REV. JOHN STRICKLAND

John grew up in Atlanta Unity and was ordained in 1976.

He served as Senior Minister for two years each, in

Jacksonville, Florida and Santa Rosa, California before

moving to Unity Village, Missouri. There he served as

Administrative Assistant (’79-’84) and Director for Silent Unity (’84-91).

Rev. John served as Associate Minister for Eric Butterworth

at Unity Center of Practical Christianity in New York, for six

months, before moving to Hawaii to serve as Senior Minister in 1991.

John has been Vice President of the Board of Trustees of

Unity School of Christianity for nearly ten years, Chairman

of the Board of the Association of Unity Churches (’98-’99), and was the Unity Movement’s only delegate to the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Cape Town, South Africa (1999).

In 2003, he received Unity’s highest award: The Light of

God Expressing award. He was both humbled and honored to receive this award from his colleagues.

John and his wife, Brenda, were delegates to the

Parliament of the World’s Religions in Barcelona, Spain, in

2004 and, in 2009; John was a delegate in Melbourne, Australia.

John served as President of North Dekalb Rotary Club, Atlanta, GA (07-08).

HELEN VAUGHN, LUT

HELEN VAUGHN, LUT

Helen is a retired educator and the mother of an adult son

raised on Unity principles. She offers over 40 years of

experience working with youth and their parents in

educational, recreational and spiritual settings. She has

experience with all school age groups as a counselor and

has classroom experience with elementary, middle and

high school youth. She maintains her Educational

Specialist certification in English and is a National Certified

Counselor. Even though her focus is working with youth,

she has myriads of experience running adult groups,

workshops and classes. Helen has been serving youth and

adults in the Unity Ministry since 1996 and is a Licensed

Unity Teacher and Certified Spiritual Educator. Helen

brings her love for children and families and a passion for

creative expression to the Atlanta Unity Church Community

where she currently serves as Director of Youth and Family

Ministries.
