What is Youth Culture? What impact does technology have on youth? How are　social networking sites changing the way we communicate? Join this fun and exciting class to discuss Youth Culture and listen, discuss and appreciate music in English! We will discuss the exciting aspects of being a youth and some of the problems facing young people at home and abroad. We will use simple English to actively discuss topics like fashion, cultural holidays, entertainment, and literature (Manga). In addition, students will be able to share different music genre with their classmates in English. We will also learn about youth in other countries and how they are making their impact on the world. Let’s have fun using English.

Enjoy, practice and improve your English. In a very friendly and communicative atmosphere, students will use many approaches using new English vocabulary and expressions for expressing themselves in English. The main objective will be to practice speaking English as much as possible. Each week we will look at an interesting topic by studying and practicing new vocabulary, phrases and sentence structures. Using various motivating ideas, students will then give their opinion to each other. Time permitting, we will also look at some pronunciation and grammar problem areas.

　This course is intended to help participants improve both their English language ability and their in their language skills in the areas of reading and vocabulary development. There are

three main elements to this intermediate course in Reading and Vocabulary development: > Weekly vocabulary development and discussion activities related to reading comprehension

topics in ; > Weekly 25-minute reading comprehension exercises from ; the exercises from

this book will help participants build and enhance their vocabulary and reading skills; > An introduction to the most important Latin- and Greek-based word roots in English, and how

they can help us to guess the meanings or sense of unfamiliar words. The topics and themes in will also form the basis for a number of conversation and vocabulary development activities during the course. The textbook has 20 units, and Units 1-10 will be covered during this course. If the course is offered again in the Fall Semester, then Units 11-20 will subsequently be covered in this period.
