Marshall and I have been involved with the Legends Sale since its induction. Our role over the years has changed but one thing that has stayed the same is our commitment to its success. Our customers have always been very happy with their purchases and quality of the cattle and genetics we’ve sent them from the Legends sale. This year we were asked back by the VSA to manage the sale and help bring the breeders of Virginia together in this event. The sale lots this year are even better than last year. We hope you will be able to join us this year to evaluate the cattle and find what you need for your program. If you are unable to make it to the sale please contact us ahead of time. We will give you an honest and complete description of every lot and we will help arrange a plan for you to bid absentee. ~ Pregnancy due April 8, 2016.~ What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this great donor owned by Kenco

Cattle and Tylertown Simmental? JM Lady Remington 5S has had sale toppers at the North American and at many of the Kenco Family Matters Sale. Several females have gone on to be champions at the Jr Nationals and other shows. The extended family is strong no doubt and the mating to Wide Track will add performance.

Recip notes: I purchased 3 embryos last fall at the Kenco Family Matters Sale and put 2 of those embryos in this summer and both settled. In trying to reduce the numbers in my herd I decided to offer the pregnancy that is being carried by the cow who has a really nice Mo Better heifer calf at side. “Socks” is a 4 ½ year old nonregistered ½ Simmental, ½ Holstein cow who does a really good raising a calf. She sells with a fancy heifer calf with some beautiful facial markings that born on April 26, 2015 who will be registered as a ½ blood for the sale.

We showed Arkpride as an open heifer with much success and then brought her home to produce some excellent offspring. This female has plenty of power, muscle and phenotype and is an easy keeper. Donation Lot

Started in 2010, the Eastern Regional fundraiser was introduced as a means to work as a group instead of individual states to host the show more easily without footing the entire bill. Each year, an average of $15,000 from the fundraiser is presented to the host state. The funds go toward facility, award, exhibitor and other costs associated with running the event. The AJSA Eastern Regional typically has 80-100 head of cattle exhibited by 60-70 young people With the gracious support of Ruble Cattle Services, the Maryland Simmental Association has donated an embroidered throw blanket that will be auctioned off at the Legends of the Blue Ridge Sale in support of the Eastern Regional fund. The future of the AJSA Eastern Regional fundraising events looks bright, thanks to the continued support of Simmental enthusiasts.
