The Diplomatic Youth Fellowship- C.N.Y.A youth leadership development organization. Committed to local & international change.

The Central New York Diplomatic Youth Fellowship is a growing network of youth and young adults passionate about community empowerment. Our organization provides a chance to engage in international opportunities and initiatives . Youth Fellows from all across the Central New York area will engage in helping to change the com-munity in which they live and the world they share with so many!

The Organization was formed to help youth leaders become successful in their initiatives as well as their pro-grams. In understanding Central New York, we recognize that many different cultures help to make this area unique. The Central New York Diplomatic Fellowship emphasizes this fact and creates ways to increase cultural awareness. Each Youth accepted into the fellowship will be seen as life-long Youth Fellows. That means, life-long connections, life-long friendships, and life-long opportunities.

Upon selection into the fellowship, our youth are trained and immediately encouraged to be the leader that they are. Life does not wait and neither does this fellowship. We work quickly to prepare our youth for lives as com-munity leaders of engagement. Youth fellows are given the resources needed to be leaders and have a board of trustees in essence “at their service”. Each Trustee/Director knows that our first mission is the betterment of our youth.

Although we are based in Central New York, we conclude each year with a summer trip to New York City to attend an International biannual Youth Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters sponsored by the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. Our youth do not just attend this conference, but rather become Youth Delegates to the Youth Assembly and engage in many activities with world youth and leaders. Youth Fellows meet Diplomats, International Leaders, and even United Nations Ambassadors.

The Central New York Diplomatic Youth Fellowship is not just an organization it is an opportunity!

We are more than just an organization. We are an oppurtunity.

Empower

Our Youth are inspired to become leaders, engage with their community, and forward thinkers. We do this through monthly ThinkTanks, group networking session, leadership forums, and a great staff to help with personal development of each person.

Equip

It is our mission to not only provide our youth fellows with educational opportunities but also with the tools, resources, and connections needed to make a change. Each meeting, our youth fellows receive a brief containing information ranging from “How to make an idea better?” To “Leadership 101”.

Educate

Provide international education opportunities for students and youth within the Cen-tral NY area and abroad. We provide Premiere opportunities for students to engage in VIP internships with key figures in many fields. Members a part of our fellowship also have full access to The Youth Assembly @ The United Nations held each year in NYC. We offer many opportunities for youth to be the very best and reach their full potential.

“There are moments in life when you are com-pletely captivated and consumed by what is going on around you—the conversations, the people. It is in these moments that you feel a sense of belonging, a sense of home. This is exactly how I felt being in the DYF fellowship.

From our Founder:

Over two years ago, this fellowship started as a mere idea I had about the unique potential in every person; especially youth. I believe that every person has potential to be a world changer, so I thought to myself “Why wait to learn how to be that change? Let’s start now!”. Youth are not only the future but they are the present. This fellowship is designed to give every-one one thing: Opportunity. Through our innovative, creative, and effective programs, youth go one to be youth city officials, organization directors, students at Yale, and much more.

Last year we had great successful year thanks to many community partners, hard work, and dedication from our Youth Fellows. As Executive Director, I look forward to meeting the new class of youth fellows and experiencing the world.

The future of this nation and this world rest within the hands of the youth. Youth make up a huge percentage of the global population and the inclusively the United States of America. I believe that in Central New York we can champion an idea of international youth-led change and impact. With a region so diverse with ethnicity and cultures, I realized that our strength was our cultural diffu-sion. This diplomatic youth fellowship holds dear this truth and we believe that youth are the key to building the future. A fellow apart of this fellowship becomes not only a civic leader but rather an international change-agent!

The youth assembly at the United Nations is an international project of the Frendship Ambassadors Foundation Inc. It brings together youth from around the world, biannual, to New York City for an international youth conference. There youth are given the privelege of meeting world leaders, ambassadors, youth leaders, and delegates from around the globe. Due to our part-nership with the FAF (a consultant-status agency of the United Nations), our youth are automatically accepted to the United Nations Assembly as Youth Delegates.
