20112011

If training is designed to help a technician become the best, then let’s find out who really is the best! The United States Technician Grand Prix (USTGP), held every two years, is a unique opportunity for technicians to compete against each other and discover who can succeed when the pressure is on! Speaking of pressure, the 2013 USTGP took place in front of thousands of people at the national dealer meeting in Las Vegas. This two day event focuses on actual hands-on skills and also features a challenging written exam to test product knowledge. Yamaha and other corporate sponsors step up to provide the winning technicians and their dealerships with significant prizes.

Competition doesn’t end with the USTGP! The Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix (WTGP) is held at YMC headquarters in Iwata, Japan every two years. The national technician grand prix winners from all participating Yamaha distributors throughout the world are invited to this once in a lifetime opportunity in Iwata for an epic showdown. Here their knowledge of Yamaha product is tested at a high level. Contestants participate in a

variety of tasks including a live customer reception skill which is filmed and evaluated by a panel of judges, so bring your best smile! A tour of the Yamaha factory and trip to the old capital of Kyoto are also on the agenda. This invitation to see inside Yamaha operations and Japanese culture is truly unique. The USTGP and WTGP are amazing opportunities for service personnel and their dealership to be recognized for exceptional achievement.
