College has acquired permanent status and 2f Certificate
College has acquired permanent status 12B Certificate

Bridge Courses conducted on various topics like Computer Basics, Environmental awareness,
Communication Skills, Basic Grammer, Motivation, Student Responsibilities, and Quality
initiatives taken by the institution.
Awareness to student about facilities available in the college campus was given (sports, library,
NSS, NCC, Scouts and Guide unit, Cultural activities).
New Multi gymnasium has installed in college campus.
Syllabus of all departments uploaded in the College Website.
Time table of all permanent and Guest faculties has been uploaded to DCE Website.
Collected IQAC reports of all the committees for the period of April to November.
National Education Policy report has been submitted to MHRD.
National level seminar was organized by Department of Psychology.

2014-15 CMCA certificate course conclusion function was organized by department of
psychology.
Parents meeting were held those who are participating in cultural activities.
The college won three prizes in State level cultural meet in Mysore.
Independence Day and Republic Day was celebrated in the college MLA K. Shadashri hoisting
National Flag in the function NCC Cadets conducted parade on these days all Scouts and Guides
Students, NSS Students actively participated in the Event.
SLR Rifle drill was conducted by NCC B and C Exam Cadets on 07-01-2016.
Ten Cadets attended CATC camp at Siddaganga mutt Tumkur on 12-05-15 to 21-05-15.

Swamy vivekanda’s 153rd birthday celebration was conducted in the college as National youth
fest for seven days from 12-01-16 to 19-01-16.
Philosophy and teachings of Swamy Vivekananda as a source of inspiration to the Indian Youth
was conduced in the college resource person for the event was Dr. Smitha Dental Doctor
Koratagere. On 12-01-16.
College has organized Local folk, Dramas, Songs having nationality and socially relevant
contents on 13-01-16.
College has organized Contests on theme “Youth for mass Literacy” and holding of skills and
plays by youths having National themes on 14-01-16 and 15-01-16.
College has organized inspiration speech on Blood donation camps eye donation to the youths
by Dr. Suresh Eye Surgeon on 16-01-16.
Adventure Sports was conducted at Herekal hills and Belekal hills with 60 NCC students on 17-
01-16.
College has organized Debates, Seminars for promoting peace in the country on 18-01-16.
College has organized Yoga camp for youths by Vidyananda B.S Yoga teacher, Vivekananda
yoga education foundation.
Exhibition displaying ancient coins and handmade crafts were exhibited in the college college
campus and awareness was created to public by going jatha on 19-01-16.
Naipunya nidhi classes were conducted in the college.
NSS annual camp was conducted at Kasturabha ashrama near arasikere from
28-01-16 to 03-12-16.
Training on Entrepreneurship Development Programme was conducted by the DCE and National
Education Foundation from 28-01-16 to 30-01-16 for III BCOM and III BBM students resource
person of the events was Shunmugam C.S.
Conducted Huthama Denacharane in college on 30-01-16.
Political science department organized a legal awareness program on 20-02-2016. Resource
person of the program was Prof. Channa basappa retired professor navadhaya first grade college,
Tiptur. Judges of civil court smt. Sharadha, Lokappa and all the Bar Counseling office bears
and members were present in the function.
Alumini association meeting was held on sunday 06-03-2016.

PROGRAMME: Importance of geography in competitive examinations.
Department of geography and environmental science conducted one day informative
programme on importance of geography subject with respect to competitive examinations on 29 th
February, 2016. The programme was presided by Prof. Kumarswamy, principal, GFGC, Tiptur.
Prof.Ashwak Ahmed participated in the programme as guest. A special lecture was delivered by
Prof.M.K.Ningegowda, GFGC, Vijayanagar, Bangalore on the subject. He gave suggestions to
students regarding improvement of concentration in studies, communication skills and facing
examination with positive attitude. He also said to earn more knowledge about outer world by
reading newspapers, articles and magazines daily. The student must have knowledge about
current affairs as a requirement to the competitive examination. He gave tips about enhancing
memory skills and he told that above 40% of the questions will be related to the geography,
history and political science.
More than hundreds of students gain the knowledge by the programmeabout facing the
competitive examination with confidence. Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Kantharaju, Lecturer,
Dept. of Geography.

PROGRAMME: An Informative program on bio-diversity and its conservation.
Department of geography and environmental science conducted one day informative
programme on bio-diversity and its conservation on 21st July, 2015. The programme was
presided by Prof. Kumarswamy, department of history, GFGC, Tiptur and number of students
and faculty members are the beneficiaries. ParisaraPremishadaksharadevaru as a resource person
of the programme, spreaded the knowledge about medicinal plants and uses of the plants
available at their surroundings. They also explained about conserving the locally available plants
that are useful in our day-to-day life.
An informative programme on bio-diversity and their conservation
The resource person enlightened the students about potted plants and their uses. He gave
information regarding the plants which can be grown inside home and their premises. He also
explained about adverse effects of destruction of plants to the next generation and the need of
conserving plants.

PROGRAMME: A workshop programme on growing and maintenance of potted plants.
Department of geography and environmental science organized workshop for the students
on 23rd July, 2015 at college campus. ParisaraPremishadaksharadevaru, resource person of the
programme gave knowledge about the advantages of potted plants.Prof.Manjunatha swamy, dept
of geography,Dr.Venkatesh, A.M.Kantharaju, Sumalatha.S.M and number of students also
present in the programme. The resource person demonstrated the procedures for sowing of
vegetable seeds in the garden. He also explained the preservation of potted plants without water
for few days when caretaker is out of station.
Aworkshop on growing and maintenance of both potted plants and plants

e demonstrated the supplying the limited water for a long time by the use of
physics concept of surface tension theory. i.e., by keeping water filled bottle
inverted in the pot, which lets soil to absorb the water whenever it finds necessary.
This method also depicts the conservation of water.

PROGRAMME: A lecture programme on solar eclipse
Department of geography and environmental science conducted one day
lecture programme on SOLAR ECLIPSE on 28th
sept, 2015. A solar eclipse occurs
when the moon gets between earth and the sun. the moon casts a shadow over
earth. A solar eclipse can only takes place at the phase of new moon. When the
moon comes directly between the sun and the earth, its shadow falls on the surface
of the earth results in solar eclipse.
An informative programme gave knowledge to the students about solar
eclipse and its impact on our daily life scientifically.
