Background/Rationale
The Summit shall focus on two critical areas of concern for basic education schools:
•Senior High School
•RA 10627 or the Anti Bullying Act of 2013
Background/Rationale
• The addition of two years, Grades
11 and 12, or Senior High School
(SHS) is central to the K to 12
program.
• The nationwide roll out of Grade 11
shall be in SY 2016-17.
Background/Rationale
• All basic education schools are
expected to be familiar with RA
10627.
• This landmark legislation was
passed on 6 September 2013 and
all schools are expected to have
enacted school policies and
procedures consistent with the said
law by SY 2014-15.
