since 1986, we have been advancing our herd’s genetics to produce dependable, functionally consistent Black angus cattle that are sound, proven and ready to go to work for you. whether you are looking for bulls to enhance your commercial program, or new genetics to advance your purebred business, we have some exciting cattle that will provide excellent opportunities. our breeding program uses only artificial insemination and embryo transfer. The best 40% of the herd is artificially inseminated, while the remaining 60% of the herd are utilized as recipients.

having spent decades in the commercial cow/calf business, we realize that a good calf crop percentage, high weaning weights and quality premiums on sale day are the primary factors in a ranch’s profitability. we strongly feel that the depth of quality bulls and females in our offering will help you achieve your ranch’s objectives. in order to highlight the quality of our offering, Pfizer 50K dna data will be available for all females being offered. The bulls were developed on a high roughage ration in large traps and will be sold with lone star angus’ First year Fertility Guarantee. it is always gratifying to hear from our bull customers how pleased they are with their calf crop quality and the longevity of service our bulls has been able to provide them.

while several genetic lines will be represented at the offering, our featured donor lone star e161 Belle e506 must be recognized. she is the dam of both the Genex sire lone star advantage e753 and our lead-off bred heifer and bull. currently, e506 has the following ePds: Bw +.1, ww +76, yw +128 and $Beef 98.50. in addition to e506, donors lone star 1i2 lady e602 and dhd new design 6046 also continue to produce excellent progeny which will be featured throughout the sale. Furthermore, we are thrilled to have lone star Mystic dam 180, the truly exceptional hoover dam son and next prospective ai sire for lone star angus, on display at the sale.

The lone star angus Production sale will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the cooke county Fairgrounds. at the sale, a Tex/Mex breakfast and coffee will be provided early, and the complimentary lunch will begin at 11:00 am. The female offering will begin at 12:00 noon, with the bull offering to follow. The cattle will be available for your viewing during the day on wednesday, March 6, at the cooke county Fairgrounds.

For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at the nearby hampton inn which is located north of Gainesville on i35 at exit 501. lone star angus will be also be hosting a social with complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the hampton inn on wednesday evening at 5:30 pm.
