About The IC Virtual Songwriter ShowcaseOn September 21-22, 2013, Indie Connect will be bringing the global songwriting community togetheronline for 2 days of song pitching, live networking, expert presentations on song crafting and thebusiness of songwriting, a virtual trade show, songwriter showcases, contests, industry discussionsand much more! The entire event will be held online in a virtual environment, and will be patternedafter the highly acclaimed Indie Connect’s (IC) Virtual Music Conference and Expo, which was heldthe last week in February. Because the entire event will occur exclusively online, no one needs todeal with wallet-busting plane flights, hotels, ticket prices and showcase prices!

Pitch to Publisher SessionsOne of the primary features of the event will be live ‘pitch to publisher’ sessions. Indie Connect isrecruiting publishers, artist managers, label A&R executives and others who are willing to spend anhour listening to songs pitched by attendees for pre-announced artists or projects. If too many songsare pitched for a specific session, paid exhibitors will receive priority.

Song EvaluationsAnother attraction to the event will be song evaluations by respected songwriters, publishers etc. These reviewers will be able to assess a song’s commercial potential and constructively articulatewhat makes each song strong, weak or in-between.

Navigating the EventThe Lobby is the first room that participants enter. From there they can access all other componentsof the conference, such as the business and artist exhibit halls, the theater, the chat rooms, theirbriefcase etc.
