The awards took place on the 15th November atthe prestigious Plaisterers' Hall in London and were presented by Julia Evans, Chief Executive of the National Federation of Builders (NFB). From hundreds of companies registered with theScheme, only the very highest performing receiveda National Company Award.
This year was the biggest and best yet, with theScheme presenting more awards than ever before.A total of 37 Bronze, 24 Silver and 12 Gold Awardswere given to companies who have demonstrated
the highest levels of consideration towards thepublic, their workforce and the environment.
From the Gold Award winners, Maxiflow Ltd wereawarded the prized title of Most ConsiderateCompany 2013, while Norriskips & WasteManagement and Tasker Catchpole Ltd receivedRunner-up Awards.
The Scheme would like to congratulate everyaward-winning company for their dedication andcommitment to considerate construction. Theawards were a great success and enjoyed by all.

Most Considerate Company 2013This company demonstrated the highest levels ofconsideration towards the neighbourhood and generalpublic, the workforce and the environment.
Maxiflow Ltd
This long-established company based inChester specialises in building, roofing,drainage, mechanical and electrical work andsolar energy contracting. The subject of thiscitation is the refurbishment of an old toiletarea into a fully-equipped disabled toilet unit.
Although this was a particularly short durationproject, the company demonstrated its realcommitment to delivering a quality product toconsiderate standards. The work area wasparticularly restrictive, but the insertion of adiscrete door lock to prevent dementia-sufferingday care patients inadvertently entering the areawas commendable, as was the use of the zippeddust sheet affixed to the door frame.
With the addition of innovative directionalsigns, exceptional cleanliness and a highly
co-operative stance, the operationdemonstrated that even a small site can dosomething special.
In addition to the company itself supportingvarious local organisations, the Scheme Monitornoted several examples of local fund-raisingactivities carried out by individual employees,showing that the culture of support for thecommunity runs throughout the company.
Combined with elements such as supportingstaff in gaining additional qualifications andoffering a number of health services, thiscompany’s considerate effort was of anexceptionally high level and a great example tothe industry of what can be achieved on thesmallest projects.
