Special tuition rate of $25 per semester + student fees + health insurance (if not eligible for insurance waiver)

Must maintain a 3.0 GPA

Must be full-time

Only one semester guaranteed

10-19.5 hours per week for 17 weeks per semester (Fall/Spring) based upon assignment

Monthly stipendGraduate Assistantshipshttp://www.kennesaw.edu/graduate/research_assistantships.shtml Federally funded grant to develop teachers who can make an impact on the academic success of specific groups of students in high-need schools

Receive financial support while in the MAT TESOL program -- up to $4000 a year for a maximum of 2 years

MUST teach for 4 out of 8 years after graduation in a high-needs field (ESOL) in high-needs P-12 school or with an educational service agency

Program of StudyField Experience formReading Endorsement FormIt is expected that all candidate work will include full sentences, paragraphs of appropriate length, and formal English grammar conventions. To facilitate completion of quality work, candidates will do the following:Change the setting on their computer(s) so that Word recognizes formal rather than standard (colloquial) English; Read all documents with a critical eye to ensure that grammar conventions are followed;

Buy and use APA (6th ed) Manual for all coursework; and

If multiple drafts are permitted or expected in a course, candidates will incorporate corrections and information from instructor comments into all revised work.Quality of WritingEntering a graduate program is a serious commitment of time, energy, and resources
