Each year Career, Internship & Student Employment Services at Montana State University conducts

a survey to determine placement rates and salary survey information from recent MSU graduates

(Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Spring 2011). Graduates were requested to participate in the survey

contents of this document reflect the information gleaned from that effort, demonstrating “life after

university” with regard to employment, graduate school, salary, location, etc.

There were 2,318 graduates. 1,398 graduates completed the survey (60.3% response rate). • 68.0% (n=951) indicated they were employed full-time • 16.4% (n=229) indicated they were employed part-time• 6.5% (n=91)indicated they were unable to find employment and were not enrolled in graduate school • 1.7% (n=24) indicated they were unable to find employment and enrolled in graduate school• 5.4% (n=75) indicated they were not seeking employment and were enrolled in graduate school• 2.0% (n=28) indicated they were not seeking employment were not currently enrolled in graduate school47.9% (n=669) of respondents reported accepting full-time or part-time employment in Montana. Note: Mean salaries only include graduates employed full-time.

* Some graduates received two or more degrees and are repeated in the college summary under all degrees received.n =829
