Government listings include: • Denver HUD Staff • HUD State Community Builders • Useful web addresses • State Housing and Finance Authorities • Managing Agent Advertising The Affordable Housing Management Association was formed in 1982 as the Association of HUD Management Agents, Region VIII by owners and managing agents of privately owned federally subsidized multifamily properties in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Da-kota, Utah and Wyoming. The name was changed in 2006 to Rocky AHMA. The Board of Directors is composed of six officers and twelve directors representing members served by our regional HUD office. These states currently include Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. The principal purposes of AHMA are to: • provide an environment for the exchange and dissemination of information of mutual interest and value • promote professional practices among its members • provide assistance to management agents in fulfilling their responsibilities to residents • develop, coordinate and sponsor educational programs and training • provide a channel for communications with government agencies on issues of mutual concern to membership • advocate for the continued commitment of government at all levels to provide affordable housing to all Americans of low and moderate income, regardless of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, familial status, handicap or financial status • engage in other lawful activities related to the above purposes
