The Federal State Access and Visitation Program pro-vides supervised child exchange or supervised child visi-tation services to children and families at risk because of circumstances relating to neglect; substance abuse; emo-tional, physical or sexual abuse; domestic or family vio-lence; etc. The U.S. Department of Health and HumanServices provides the funding for this grant.
Ten grant projects were awarded a total of $102,979 toprovide supervised visitation and exchange services for children and families and parenting classes to improvethe parenting skills for residential and non-residential par-ents.
Below is data on the victims and services provided bySAVP funded grant projects.
Grant projects provided a total of:
• 6,119 supervised child visits • 4,896 supervised child exchanges
