Communities” Federal State Access & Visitation Program (SAVP) October 1, 2008—September 30, 2009 Office of Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson August 2010 The Federal State Access and Visitation Program pro- vides supervised child exchange or supervised child visi- tation services to children and families at risk because of circumstances relating to neglect; substance abuse; emo- tional, physical or sexual abuse; domestic or family vio- lence; etc. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provides the funding for this grant. Ten grant projects were awarded a total of $102,979 to provide supervised visitation and exchange services for children and families and parenting classes to improve the parenting skills for residential and non-residential par- ents. Below is data on the victims and services provided by SAVP funded grant projects.
