H2020 Project : EcoSwing
• The idea is to replace a PM generator with a
superconducting generator
• full scale multi-megawatt direct-drive superconducting wind generator
• Installation on an existing modern wind turbine in Thyborøn, Denmark(3.6 MW, 15 rpm, 128 m rotor)
• THEVA is responsible for all HTS tapes and HTS coil manufacturing

Summary
Pilot production line with 150 km/a (12 mm) capacity at THEVA
Ic up to
• 600 A (77K, s.f.) or 500 A/cm at 60 m
• 400 A on 200 m + long tapes
Different types and thicknesses of Cu stabilization available
12 mm wide tapes can be delivered immediately
3.4 mm … 6 mm wide tapes to be available soon!
Coil winding and casting process developed
HTS coils with size up to 1,4 m can be produced
Advanced Tapestar system with 2D-Ic-mapping
