CHRISTMAS TREEStocking Ornament

NEEDLESA pair of 3.75mm knitting needles. Two double-pointed 3.75mm knitting needles.Wool needle for sewing up.

TENSION23.5 sts and 32 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 3.75mm needles.

NOTE 1 This Ornament has been knitted on smaller needles and at a tighter tension than usually recommended.

NOTE 2 This Ornament can be worked in one colour, in stripes or you can work the rib band in one colour and the rest of the Stocking in another, however, for ease of knitting we suggest you work the heel and toe in just one colour.

NOTE 3 You can use this pattern to create a beautiful Christmas Stocking Garland. Simply make an i-cord to your desired length and as many Christmas Tree Stockings as you need. Slide the Stockings onto the i-cord and secure them so they are evenly spaced, and hang up your Garland.

Push one end of the base colour yarn into the back of the deco foam wreath shape with a pair of scissors and wrap the entire shape until well covered. You can fix the loose tail of the yarn by pushing that back into the shape as well, or by tying it firmly at the back.

Make pom poms in a variety of sizes and fix them to the wreath by tying them in place around the shape, or by stitching them on with a yarn needle (a combination of the two methods works well).

You can hang the wreath by pushing it onto a nail, or by using some of the thread at the back to attach it to a hook.

YOU WILL NEED

1 Deco foam wreath shape (200mm or larger size if required)

Yarn is required colors (1 ball should do the base plus some pomp pomes. You will need scrap yarn in other colors for contrast pomp pomes
