INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Kellogg School of Management Energy Management Club Resume Book 2004!

We would like to invite you to consider our outstanding students for either full-time positions or internship positions with your organization. The Kellogg School of Management has a very active Energy Management Club and community with a number of events to promote the energy industry among our MBA students and to educate them about the many aspects of the energy industry. Many of our alumni have gone onto highly successful roles in a variety of energy-focused or related industries and functional disciplines.

Business Week and the Economist Intelligence Unit recently ranked Kellogg as the Number 1 business school in the USA. This position has been gained through extraordinary student initiatives and a strong culture of fostering leadership and teamwork. In addition to core functional skills in general management, marketing, finance, strategy, and operations – our students possess many of the behavioral characteristics to help lead your organizations into the next century and are equipped with the right tools to successfully meet the challenges that the energy industry is expected to face.

Another strength of the Energy Management Club that benefits all members is the participation of students from the MMM (Master of Management and Manufacturing) Program. MMM students are MBA students who are in a dual degree program with Northwestern University’s school of engineering. MMM students take a set of manufacturing and operations based courses along with the MBA core, and thus the MMM students earn both an MBA and an MEM (Master of Engineering Management) degree. MMM students take several MBA electives and earn additional majors in areas such as strategy, finance, marketing, and technology.

We are pleased to present the resumes of 15 students seeking full time positions in the energy industry and 17 students seeking summer internships (typically between June and September) within the energy industry.

We would also like you to consider participating in other Energy Management Club activities – through the Speaker Series, Education Workshops, or Club Sponsorship. We believe the return on participation, and investment is significant in enhancing your brand with future executives and leaders across industry as can be found at the Kellogg School of Business.

We would be happy to hear from you with any questions about our students, club, and school.

Regards,

Energy Management Club Co-Chairs: Risa Sparks, Jaclyn Jordan, Ed Schneider, Michael Wright & Sam Mehta
