Got up late. Jennie got breakfast I ironed the napkins & made a Custard Pie also a

chicken Pie washed out 18 dish towels, got the dinner and washed up the dishes

Jennie at home I went over to Manns. Helped Pap to get his satchel packed all as well

as usual.

Wednesday, January 2, 1895

Bertha & children Murphy children

Got up early Pop & I had Breakfast I finished Mark Twain and took it Home washed

out the napkins. Alverda and I went over to town She had her teeth filled & I sent her

Home with Mr L- I went to Miss Hughes and Back to the dentist and did not get

home till after five. got me a new dress and purse worked on Luenes shirt Pop gone

all well Clara called.

Thursday, January 3, 1895

Stormy cloudy,

Got up late I tended to the Horse & chickens Jennie got Breakfast Then she went to

get her dress made. I ironed up the table linen and got ready & went down & took my

Painting Lesson commenced on my Glass got letter from Pop looks stormy tonight

All well commenced a Stocken.

Friday, January 4, 1895

Rained Blew Stormed.

Got up late Oh my how it Stormed all night & almost all day the River is just

booming Wrote a letter to Pop & sent him two papers Mrs Wilkins & her Sister came

over to look at the water. This is the Storm of the Season. The railroad Bridge is out

or unsafe for travel my head aches all the rest are well-

Got up late fed the Hourse & chickens worked on my Spanish work. Jennie went

down to get her dress fit Mrs Wilkins Sister came over for the Paper I sent it up to

Pop Alverda wrote to Mabel. Rained this afternoon All as well as usual at Home all

day.

Sunday, January 6, 1895

Clear.

Got up late Jennie got the Breakfast I fed the Hoarse & chickens Jennie went down

& did not get her dress. I made Some doughnuts after dinner I took the children &

went for a walk & over to Sea Bright to see Mrs Miller. Got Home late did up the

work had lunch All well as usual.

Monday, January 7, 1895

Got up late fed the Hoarse & chickens Jennie got the Breakfast then I Helped with

the wash went over to Manns She came over here also got three letters one from

Lemmie one from Mrs Pope and one from Pop. Jennie at Home All well as usual

Oh my it commenced to Rain again last night Got up late Jennie got the Breakfast I

done up my work & ironed some Went over to Wilkies Worked on my Spanish

work. Jennie and I got a hot Supper of Eggs & hot Biscuit it Has rained almost all

day. Jennie at Home All is well as usual

Got up early fed the Hourse & chickens made Biscuit for Breakfast got my drawer

work in my drawers done. got a Letter from Mary. Put my other drawer leg in the

frame knit the foot of Alverdas Stocken longer went down to Mrs Beeds & down

town all Well Jennie at Home-

Got up early fed the Hourse & chickens Jennie got the Breakfast I went over to Mrs

Manns & to Wilkies But did not do much work. Went down & finished my Poppy

Piece & went to Miss Hughes. Mrs Sherman & daughter called also Mrs M- Jennie

at Home All well. finished Alverdas Stocken

Got up early. I fed the Hourse & chickens also got the Breakfast & cleaned up my

room Wilkie came over. Got a letter from Pop Painted the Manette Vine on my jug

also a few leaves on my Wild rose piece. Mrs Fitz called children over to Buckleys

Got up late fed the Horse and chickens Jennie got the Breakfast cleaned the childrens

dresses went over to Mann Jennie & Edna went down town I painted on my wild

Rose piece Mrs Bickford called. finished one new stocking over to Wilkies a minute

Got up late Jennie got the Breakfast. I tended to the Hoarse & chickens wrote three

letters one Home to Mary Spinks & Lemmie to my utter Surprise Pop got home

today Mattie sent me some lovely lace for an Apron Jennie went Home I went in to

Mrs Manns All well Pop has a cold-

Got up as early as usual did not wash too cloudy I worked on my Painting Mrs Mann

came over The children Started back to School. I went down town & to Miss

Hughes. Bertha & the children came over. I finished Alverdas Stocking & wound

some yarn for Luenes Shirt All well Jennie at Home Pop got a cold

Commenced Grand Pa a cap,

Got up late I got the breakfast Jennie helped around & made the Bread. got the

children off to School then Jennie & I did the washing got the clothes all dry I went

in to Buckleys Pop went down & got Edna & Alverda some new Shoes Jennies at

Home Pop got letter from Isaac all well


Rained almost all day Hard

Got up as early as usual did not feel very well helped iron Some Jennie got the

Breakfast. Edna went down to Miss Hughes for some of the the dress goods & the

lining before school they took their lunch. I finished my wild Rose drape on cotton

Batting & Basted some on my dress skirt Luene give her arm a Burn with the iron

All well Jennie at Home.


Rained blustered & blew

Got up late Jennie got the Breakfast then I got the children ready for School and

Sewed on my dress skirt got it ready to Hang. took two of the Ruffles of my black

dress Started to knitt Grand Pa a larger cap Jennie at Home all as well as usual.


Rained almost all day

Got up late made Biscuit for Breakfast got the children off for School. cleaned up

our Bed room worked on my drawr work all I could Made corn meal mush for Lunch

went over to Mann & to Wilkies Luenes arm not so well today got some salve of

Mann Pop went down town all well-


Rained all night & till after noon

Got up late Jennie got the Breakfast & I made some Ginger Bread then I worked on

my drawr work & tonight I finished it so I have both legs done now knit on Grand Pa

cap to night. Jennie at Home. Pop got a letter from from MC Ray Lompoc all usually

well.

Got up late Jennie got Breakfast I put on the Pot Roast Pop wrote a letter & Postal to

Lompoc. after dinner Jennie took the children over to her Home. I made some candy

& took a bath. We all Played Dominos this evening All is well as usual looks like

rain tonight.

Got up late it looked so much like rain we did not wash Jennie got the Breakfast I cut

out Alverdas two blue calico aprons Sewed on them all I could went to Mrs Manns.

The children went to School Fanny came over finished Grand Pa cap all well

Got up late made corn bread for breakfast Got the children off to School then I

washed out a few pieces & went down to Miss H & finished my skirt sent the caps to

Grand Pa. sewed on Alverdas Aprons I feel very bad Oh my Head C.R.C. called all

noon the rest are all well Pop brought home my watch

Got up late am not very my Head has felt bad all day. Jennie washed I cleaned up &

got the dinner sewed on Alverdas Aprons a little this After noon Rose came over

also Florence & children & Mrs. Judge McCan called We all Have slight colds.

Alverdas two aprons to Button Holes Went down & had my Waiste fit came Home

& put button Holes in one apron went over to Wilkies this eve a little while Fannie

Got up early I got the Breakfast & got the children off to School made my Spanish

worked drawers and cleaned up my bedroom made some love knots very nice we all

went over to Macks & spent the Afternoon Miss Hughes called Jennie at home All

Got up early washed out Edna's Grey dress. Wilkie came over. Jennie got Breakfast

Pop took Alverda & myself down town this After noon Mrs Mann Wilkie & my self

went down to see little Fenett Played by Unice Goodrich Jennie went down town cut

out the skirt of Ednas Blue dress all well but Slight colds

Got up as early as usual Jennie got breakfast I got the children off to Sunday school

and made a dish of Apple Snow oh my such rich Stuff. I helped to set the dinner Pop

took the children for a walk Jennie went Home and I wrote down some receipts on

my cook Book ll well But colds.

Got up as early as usual I got the Break fast got the children off to School Helped

Jennie with the wash. Pop took me over to the Dr to Pay her Bill of $10 & over to

town ask to Miss Hughes to get my waiste fit again I run in to see Mrs Buckley she is

better all well as usual-

sleeve Pattern from Mrs M for Edna worked on her dress all I could Jennie went

down town She & I went down to the Lecture in the even Edna went down for my

for school. Went over to Wilkies Pop took her & I down to the Church to Mr Cox

funeral. I went in to call on Mrs Williams also sewed on Ednas dress All well Jennie

Got up early made 2 Pumpkin Pies and got the Breakfast. got Edna's Blue dress

finished cleaned up my room Alverda took Luene down to school with her. Agnes &

I went down to the Opening Exerscises of the Free Library very good, Jennie at

Home Pop trimming the trees All usually well.

Got up late worked on Hard & got Ednas waiste done Jennie took Edna and Alverda

down to the Edna Kaney Mattinee. Mr. Dunning spent the evening here. Auntie D

buried 3 years ago today died the 31- got the lace on my Panties. Pop not very well

all the rest are well made Ednas green dress shorter

Mrs. Bickfords I left my tojne* I came home & finished one side of my cushion &

Pop took me down to take my painting Lesson Mrs Campbell & Amanda called.

Jennie & her mother gone out. I brought Home my fruit Pies All well.

Got up early Jennie got the Breakfast I done the mending the children went to

school. I walked & went over to Mrs. Bickfords & down town On my, Went down &

had my Painting lesson Edna went down town Mrs. Brown & children called Pop

Got up early as usual Helped Jennie get Breakfast. Got the children off to School

Luene and I went in to Wilkies After dinner Jennie went down town finished

Alverdas apron I worked on my cushion Mrs Robinson called Bertha & children

Fitch girls also Fannie Pop went down town got letter from Home Grand Pa comes

Saturday all well.

Got up early as usual I got the Breakfast & picked up a few things for Edna to send to

the children Home. Went over to see Wilkie clean up the two Bed rooms & dusted

the Parlor Mrs M brought over my Cal Violet Plant I went down to hear the children

speak Jennie at Home. Worked on cushion All well.

Got up late Jennie got Breakfast I worked on my cushion dressed a chicken finished

the cushion and got my chair sit up made five Apple custard Pies knots doughnuts

and went over & got my rogue Shade Hat & Veil Dear old father came tonight Oh

How glad we all were. Pop went down town for him All well Jennie at Home.

Cloudy rained this evening

Got up as usual. Jennie made the waffles and I made a custard Pie & cooked the Ham

& Eggs. got the children off to Sunday school wrote a letter Home helped to get

dinner read my paper & talked to Grand Pa his cold is Bad Edna got some fever the

rest well Jennie went Home.

Got up early as usual did not wash Jennie got the Breakfast I waited on Edna she is

Better cut out five Pairs of Panties 2 for Alverda & 3 for Edna Ren brought us over 3

Abolones I went over and had some raw clams over to M- Mrs M came over for

some cotton Batten Grand Pa better Alverda at School Jennie started crotchett

Got up as usual Jennie cooked the waffles and I the Ham & toast I sewed on the

drawers All day Edna went to School this after noon. Jennie washed She has at last

got the Hang of the crotchet I finished Luenes knit stockings tonight All well but

Got up as early as usual Jennie & I got Breakfast then I helped to put out the washing

washed the flannels. After dinner I sewed on the drawers Pop went down town

Jennie went out to the Show tonight got a nice long letter from cousin Queen Edna

and Alverda at School. All well But colds

Got up as early as usual Jennie & I got the Breakfast then we ironed Oh my but Edna

& I did have a seige but I won the day at last Wilkie came over I washed Grand Pas

feet tonight cut out Luene a blue apron. finished 6 pears of drawers to Button Holes

got some greens Mrs. Litchfield called also Wilkie & Agnes spent the evening with

us I ripped up one of Grand Pas Shirts. Luene & Pop both got colds All rest well

Home tonight Luene & I went over to Wilkie this morning Mrs Buckley & children

done & washed & the other one ready for Button Holes all Better of colds.

done on it Jennie at Home the rest are well.

Got up as usual was up every three Hours all night the Dr was here twice today Mrs

Mann and Mr Rhodes called I took Luene over to town Alverda & I went out to Mr.

Dunnings for a setting of eggs Pop seemes better tonight Alvereda to is ill tonight

Dr. here today twice today

Got up as early as usual Alverda had fever all night but went to School this morning

Tonight her fever is 103 Pop set up 2 Hours. Mr Rhodes & Mrs M- came in I cut the

lawn and done a few odd jobs have a sore throat tonight Set a hen I got of Mr Mann.

weeks The Dr called Agnes came over for flowers for the wedding Mr Rhodes came

raking the South Side of the front beds took the children Mrs M & Jennie down to

see Miller Christian Jennie & I went down to see the Ward Co. play streets of New

York. I put out some Tomatoe plants & Pansy plants also Put in some Carrot & Beet

Seed took Pop over to Dr He don't seem much better

school put in some Rose cutting Took Pop & the children for a drive and the children

& I went over to Mrs Millers Wrote a letter Home washed off the wheels of the

Surrie Pop about the same.

down town this morning I got Grand Pa a Pair of rubbers I wrote to uncle Sol & sent

him a tobacco Bag. Pop & Grand Pa went for a walk this aft I went down to Mr

Collins did not get any thing as yet. All Well as usual-

up as early as usual Worked all fore noon cleaned up the two Bed rooms Parlor Hall

& Sitting room the children Helped Pop & I went over to the Dr and down town &

over to Collins I got about all of my Christmas things ready Grand Pa is not so well

dry got the Packages off the Box Home cost .80 the one to Cousin Mary .17, the one

to Rains Baby 10 wrote 2 Postals one Home & one to Ola dressed a chicken worked

Hard on the Shirt did not get it done Well-

up as early as usual the children did not go to Sunday School it was so muddy I

cooked the chicken & made the Biscuit for dinner. Hung up the clothes & got them

dry We all went for a Walk over to Sea Bright Seen Mrs Miller Jennie gone over

Home this evening all well-

& I went down town sent Marys Baby a Skirt & Book made a scented Pad for

Bureau got a letter from Ola and one from Bill Jennie Went Home I started a Skirt a

cake got the Turkey ready to Put into the oven also the Pumpkin ready for Pies sent

a Book from Cody Two Boxes with fruit from H Well-

up as early as usual got the House in Order the turkey on to Roast Mrs Mann sent in

a Hand Painted glass Bert a Bottle Cologne Florence Her Babies Photo. Mrs

Dunning cracker Jar- letter from Emma S with Handkerchief card from Edna Had a

nice dinner children Played games this eve Well-

dresses and got them ready to Press also washed & pressed Luenes & A school

up my tools & went over to the Dr & to Mrs Smalls Grand Pa commenced on his

Catarrah cure Luene not very well Mrs Mann came in Robbie Murphy very Sick all

the rest well-

don't Seem much Better. Wrote 4 letters one Home one to Ola one to Sallie one to
